Sketching freaky birds. 🐤🐤🐤

An happy Friday to all hivers here!
The weekend is just around the corner and I'm having a busy day cleaning my lab house because tomorrow, in the afternoon, we will opn the door to our art studio to the citizen.
We use to open it around one time at month to show our artworks, to chat with people about our work, to spend a nice afternoon with old and new friends and it's always an interesting experience for us and for the people who came into our lab house during these events .

Today I'm here to share with you some sketches I did on my sketchbook yesterday in the late afternoon, while my hubby @paolobeneforti was teaching to his art class inside the lab room.

I used different media mixed together to create these strange birds, so different from my usual illustrative style. The result are a lot of colorful, funny birds. It's a way to clean and relax my mind, at the same time it's a way to understand how to have some effects on the paper and to improve my imagination, now my mind is full of new ideas for new artworks.

I felt myself like a little one while I was leaving my hands free to work and I think every artist has an inner child who like to play sometimes. ^_^
