Painting a special vase on a new pocket journal ❤️

Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are spending a nice weekend! Cold cold weather here and I spent a part of my Sunday cleaning my home. As I wrote before, I live in a lab-home and even if we have a very large room where we can work on paintings and on sculptures too, at the end the most part of my home is also a lab because I have tools, colors and a lot of materials in every corner of every room. Useful but a little chaotic and when I clean hard around is like to a sort of treasure hunt, because I can find things I forgot to have. 😁

This morning, before to start to clean around, I decided to paint and create a new handmade pocket journal and, in the following pics, you can see the final result:

Yes, I painted one of my "special" plants vase on the cover of one of the pocket journal I sewed by my hands.
On the cover (I cut it from a sheet of 200 gsm paper) I used my oil colors and after I painted the vase I created the journal cutting some sheets of 90 gsm paper for the pages. I sewed all together with a dark pink cotton wire and, as usual, I took some pics during the process too:

Soon I'll add some similar handmade journals to my Etsy shop (link at the bottom), stay tuned!

I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

Wow, I love these photographs and the subtle silhouette you captured on the pages 😍

I think the problem for all artists is living with the mess of art supplies around us. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to tidy up, everything looks messy. It's our own little colorful chaotic world.
