A tiny terracotta village (clay sculptures)
Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all!
After some rainy days, finally the Sun is shining on the sky. The birds came back to fly all around the branches of my plum tree and my furry friends are sleeping hard in front of my backyard door. Today the Springtime seems not so far from us, even if I'm pretty sure we are not at the end of the rainy weather. 😊
Yesterday, in the afternoon, I teached art to a small group of kids inside my lab room. It was another funny lesson and we worked on how to draw a portrait, but I'll tell you more about it soon, promise!
Today I'm here because I want to share with you a small village I just finished (sculpting the terracotta clay and after painting the piece):
Every tiny house has a rounded shape, similar to a mushroom. Everyone has a little hole on the roof so I can use it to place there a dry flower or plant.
As you can understand thanks the pic where I have one of them between my fingers, they are really small piece.
As usual, I took some pics while I was painting it after I cook them inside our terracotta oven (between other tiny sculptures I made) so you can see the process too. In the first pic you can see the pieces before I painted them.
I hope you like them!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
