A sweet cat (oil on paper)
Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all!
Today, after some hours of cloudy weather, now a pale Sun is shining between the clouds and I hope in some sunny hours soon. ❤️
On Saturday we will open our studio (as we use to do from time to time) for a book signing inside our lab. The uncle of my hubby, an archictect who also worked for many years in our municipality, along the time wrote some books about the history of the urban planning of my city and so he will talk about it. I'm pretty sure it will be an interesting event for people who will come here and, after, I'll wrote a content about it.
Now I'm here to share with you a small artwork I painted on a scrap of paper I used to clean my brushes. I love how the spots on the paper work and so I like to use that surface to paint little things or scenes in my own illustrative style.
In the following pic you can see the final result:
As you can see, I painted a simple, sweet cat with a long plant on the body.
I used my oil colors on a spotted scrap of 300 gsm paper and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painting it so you can see the process too:
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
