Wednesday Walk and Pomegranate

I was out for a stroll the other day, doing my usual loop around the neighborhood. I spotted a tiny pomegranate tree growing in front of one of the houses.

The pomegranate tree wasn't tall at all, maybe a foot taller than my height. I'm pretty sure it was a dwarf variety.

But what it lacked in height,
it made up for with fruit.
The tree was full of fruit!

I mean... these pomegranates weren't just a few here and there. The fruit was everywhere. They were hanging off branches like ornaments on a Christmas tree.

The fruits were all deep, glowing red, and one fruit had split open just enough to show off the ruby seeds inside. The tree was definitely bursting with pride, being small but mighty, lol.

I stood there for a minute, just admiring it.
It reminded me how easily the little things slip past unnoticed.
How easy it is to walk past something beautiful
because it's not flashy or towering over us.

But this little pomegranate tree? It was holding its own! Quietly generous. Quietly joyful.

Eventually, I kept walking. But it kept popping into my thought. That tiny pomegranate tree reminded me that you don't have to be loud and flashy to be special. Some things just show up, low-key, and light up the whole space!

A ripe pomegranate is sweet and juicy while an unripe one is sour and bitter... and the fruit does not ripen anymore once picked from the tree, @rudelyn001.

Wow, there are so many pomegranate fruits could see. Unfortunately my garden has one tree. But only few pomegranate fruits harvested. But luckily there's many harvest. It's really healthy and nutritious fruit. Very suitable for babies.

Wow, that is pretty bountiful! My neighbor down the street has a nice peach tree that I never really noticed before, then one day he came down the road and gave me a big bag of peaches.

Isn't it so, @bozz? It is amazing to look at! I have a twig of a peach tree that had "trial" fruits last year, but none this year.
Your neighbor's peach tree... see how we tend to overlook things!

That was a great walk around, and that pomegranates is very tempting to
pick some because of super duper abundant fruits. That would be so healthy juice from that tree fruit.

Is this variety edible?
To me, pomegranates represent abundance.
A small beautiful tree yet thriving well above it's size. Kudos to the gardening skills of the home owner 👍
And this reminds me that my garden is in need of fertilizer. It is very depleted in spots.

It is surely a dwarf tree. I doubt if it will grow bigger than it is now.
And some are not edible and are grown in cold climates, like Canada, and for their flowers. I have not seen one yet; perhaps you have!

What a pretty tree, a dwarf for sure. I've had them in my yard in Arizona and they were almost more giant bushes that pumped out so much fruit it was hard to keep up! Those look about ready to burst, so they are just about perfectly ripe. As pomegranate tree owner they must be excited!

I know they can grow here as well, but I haven't ever tried planting one in my yard, I have too many other trees already!

That tree is beautiful and totally amazing! I've never seen one before. It might interest you to know that in the little grocery in Everson, those fruits are going for $4.99 EACH!! Crazy!!

Isn't it! I used to have a pomegranate in my first home, and when I saw the tree (without fruit) the first time, I knew it was a pomegranate. It is so glorious to look at!
