The 1900 Silver Dollar coin was the first commemorative coin produced by the US Mint and was also the first to have a portrait of a US president. It was the first and only commemorative dollar coin of that denomination to be issued in the United States.

The Illinois Centennial Half Dollar was issued in 1918 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the entry of Illinois into the Union with George T. Morgan's portrayal of Abraham Lincoln. has become the most popular of the classic commemorative coins.

Known by most as the "Bay Bridge Half Dollar," this issue was among the most well-liked among the many commemorative coins that were introduced that year 1936.

The 1926 Oregon Trail Half Dollar is one of the most exquisite designs in the commemorative coin series. But is sometimes used as the best illustration of the abuses that started to occur in commemorative coin programs.

Three different mints in five different years ultimately produced the 1936 Arkansas Centennial Half Dollars. The coins proved divisive because of the constant variations made expressly to appeal to collectors.

The 1935 Connecticut Tercentenary Half Dollar's design features powerful art Deco depictions of a bald eagle and oak tree.

In 1845, Texas was admitted as the 28th state after being annexed by the U.S.and the 1935 Texas Centennial Commemorative Half Dollar was issued.

The 1935 Hudson Sesquicentennial Silver Half Dollar
features a two-masted sailing vessel under full sail with the moon in the background. The ship depicted on the reverse of this coin is The Halve Maen (Half Moon).

The 1928 Hawaii Sesquicentennial Half Dollar is among the rarest and most valuable due to its limited mintage and original distribution circumstances. The coin was issued in commemoration of Captain James Cook's 150th anniversary of reaching the Hawaiian Islands.

The Mayflower is the ship that has captivated the American imagination the most in history. The ship depicted on the 1920 Pilgrim Tercentenary Silver Half Dollar is the MAYFLOWER.

That year of the dragon coin is my favorite of the bunch. The sheen and colors look really nice, and the intricate details really make it stand out a lot.
