Silver 1 oz Asahi Bar

The highly regarded private Asahi refiner and manufacturer of excellent precious metals goods is the source of this

Asahi 1-ounce Silver Bar

1 oz. of Asahi silver bars are minted ingots. Minted ingots include rolled silver that is accurately weighed and cut by machinery in a refinery to achieve the appropriate weight and purity level, as opposed to poured loaf bars.

Highlights

  • Contains 1 ounce of 999 Silver.
  • Each bar features the Asahi logo, weight, and purity.
  • The obverse displays the Asahi logo along with the weight and purity of the Silver.
  • The reverse features a repeating Asahi logo.
  • Each bar is guaranteed to be authentic by Asahi.
    Source

With the acquisition of the former's gold and silver refining business in December 2014, Japanese company Asahi Refining acquired Johnson Matthey's former refining facilities in North America. Many of its early products are reminiscent of the styles that Johnson Matthey's refining facilities are known for.

In 1952, Asahi Refining and Assayers was established in Tokyo. The company established a reputation for itself over the course of more than 60 years primarily as a precious metals recycler, obtaining silver and other metals from manufacturing and industrial operations.
For those interested in investing in precious metals, silver bullion bars have long been a wise alternative. Both the ounces and design themes of silver bars are available in a wide variety.

Investors and stackers who purchase bars typically see two benefits. They frequently have a lower premium cost than the equivalent troy oz of silver coins due to somewhat cheaper manufacture costs. As a result, there are, of course, lower in price. The bar's comparatively easy stacking for storage is also a factor.

Do you know that you could fit 84 one-ounce pressed silver bars (2.61269205 kilos) in an old Apmex box?

Amazing huh @silversaver888!😀
As a very young kid this was big money to me.......
I remember having to save up for quite some time, to buy my first silver bar at that price😇
I have a problem parting with any of my precious metal stack Lol... And I believe somewhere I still have that silver bar as well!!😇

While they make a nice bar, they are no where near as popular and you barely see their stuff around.

Yes. Their focus was on 100 oz silver bars, but they are now producing more... from what I read about them. @silverd510 .

The Canadian Silvergoldbull.ca carries this bar often but I have yet got around to getting any Asahi. I don't usually buy from this retailer unless I had not much choice. I'd rather support an independant retailer than one owned by the A-Mark-near- monopoly. Regardless, It's a fine bar since Asahi's Canadian division used to be Johnson Matthey.

Always, with love 🤗🌺❤️

Asahi is OK but this is the Montra I Live By @kerrislravenhill

While 4 million units over a span of two decades may seem like healthy production, it is important to note the ‘ultra rare’ 1996 US Silver Eagle had a production run of just over 3.6 million rounds in its most limited production year, currently commanding upward of 3x spot price. Unlike the 1996 US Silver Eagle, a meaningful percentage of these 1oz Engelhard bars were melted during the 1979/1980 silver spike. When comparing the relatively short 4,000,000+/- 1oz Engelhard bar run with the continuously increasing 525,000,000+ to-date production US Silver Eagles, it is easy to recognize why many bullion investors and collectors continue to invest in these 1oz Engelhard bars. Imagine, more US Silver Eagles are produced in a single month than the entire Engelhard 1 oz bar production ever. If that isn’t a compelling argument to pursue every last 1oz Engelhard bar on the planet at today’s prices, we don’t know what is!

Hahaha, I have no loyalty whatsoever to gold and silver dealers... I just buy the best price. But as soon as a dealer fails me in the quality of their products, I take them off the list. Such is the case with SD Bullion.

They make nice bars! Now the fact that you could fit 84 one ounce bars in an old APMEX box factoid is interesting. Did you try it out yourself?

Yes, of course, @thebighigg! I'm on my second box. All my pressed bars are on either plastic sleeves or airtites. If the silver bars were all on plastic sleeves, you may be able to fit 90 one oz silver bars!!!

If the price of silver is very high, we all should consider buying generic silver bars, if they are cheaper than coins.

I like how bar backs often keep it minimal with the design, it makes it more obvious which is the front side :D
