I could never understand the logic of an individual and his family owning another individual and his family; to do whatever he pleases with them! The concept of slavery is a concept imported into this country. The greatest war ever fought in this country was the Civil War... over slavery.

I couldn't agree more, it's something that is just wrong. Sadly mankind has used it since the beginning of recorded history, only now is the world actively against it. It's sad that the Civil War was ever necessary, because slavery shouldn't have been here in the first place... Hopefully the world will have learned from the lessons of the past, but all to often the same mistakes get repeated over and over!
