RE: Is love enough? LOH #225

It sounds like your upbringing instilled a deep sense of love and care, even if it wasn't expressed through words, @moonlight222 . Love languages can vary greatly, and it's wonderful that you found ways to show and receive love that resonated with you and your family.
Your first "I love you" being with your first real love is such a special memory, and it's heartwarming to hear that you felt comfortable expressing it in your own way. It's interesting how our experiences shape our love languages, and it's clear that you have a thoughtful and intentional approach to showing love.
Your perspective is very insightful. Love is undoubtedly an essential foundation, but a lasting relationship does require much more. Trust, understanding, respect, and communication are all critical elements that help a relationship thrive.

That is very correct. I guess it might be part of the culture here, we are not so used to say those words between family members or friends, as I see it in the west, but for sure we find ways to show love. Our upbringings and environment certainly shape us a lot.
Thank you so much for nice response :)
