Embellish on Market Friday

I discovered a newly opened shop in our downtown. It's just barely a year old. So, I went to check it out.

They had this outside by the entrance. But as you go inside the shop, there were more that they offered.

They had bouquets of wild flowers some mixed with dried roses!

Tons of stuff! Bags. Pillows and pillows, which was 25% off that day.

Beautiful things of all sorts!

I like the pearl necklace but they were fake pearls!

Embellishments for the home!

We're into bees in our town.

I ended up buying just these two things:
a honey stick and local honey!

If I have the time, I will go back in there and browse again.
Maybe this weekend, if I am free!

Thank you so much.
Belfast, Northern Ireland is still part of the UK and was only the port I went into. I never stayed there as I can’t. The UK refused my residency. So I had to go further on a trip to my destination country what is Ireland 🇮🇪 (still part of the EU and I can live freely without visas etc.) I will post about it soon.
I only drove through Belfast, but will definitely visit it in the coming time.
This is now my country number 7.
That’s a bigggg question. And I can’t really answer that. Yes, I know where I was born, France… but my parents aren’t from there and I lived there only until I was 2 years. Then we moved to Germany… and we only stayed until I was 6 years old… moving to the Netherlands. What is my nationality.
But because I moved a lot with my parents… and later on my own.
I can say, I have never grown roots.
So I am still searching 😎 one day I grow them.
If all goes like I hope here in Ireland. 🍀 I start searching for that little cottage to buy and settle down.
I soooo need to settle down, I’m exhausted.

A brand new T&T Asian Supermarket that I like to shop at just opened not very far from my home. I have never seen such a huge Ramen noodle selection in my life. And fresh Hot Dim sum dishes Ready-to-Go! I'm adding it to my weekly shopping route routine.

I love Dim Sum. The closest ones are in Davis and Sacramento. There is none in town ☹️. Ramen noodles are the $1 ones found in groceries. How lucky you are. We also don't have an Asian store here ☹️. You have to drive to Sacramento.

I would love to wander in that shop! These types of shops are so cool to nose around for hidden gems. I bet they're a bit expensive though. Looking at the pictures that's my assumption..

Yes, it is quite pricey. The honey stick cost $12.50, and the honey was $20.00.
I think all of our downtown shops are priced the same. A lot has something to do with inflation, hehehe!

Love the painting of the cows and the bees, more than likely I would only have bought the honey !LOLZ

Stores always tempting, now to consider soon sending some to the Hive Thrift store with pre-loved items.

I wanted to buy the pearls, except that they are fake pearls and so pricey at that. But the design is so pretty!

Life is so busy, that I cannot argue!

Pearls and swirls I no longer wear, jewelry locked up, no one enjoys with rampant crime over here.

How cute! I love shops that have so many different things in them, very eclectic! But, for me, that is what makes it so fun! The bees are so awesome, aren't they? I have a few bees here and there. I do like the dried flowers in the winter especially. I have even given some to people that I am visiting,

I love real flowers, but, the other is different and change is nice sometimes.

You bought a honey stick and honey. Were these well-priced items or did they have gift shop prices on them? Thanks so much for taking us along as you discover embellishments. Looks like a great time!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
