Blackbeard Silver Round - Pirate Series

If you are a silver stacker, then you have heard of the Mason Mint. Much like Scottsdale Mint, Mason Mint is a U.S. based, private mint. For obvious reasons, I enjoy championing U.S. businesses.

Mason Mint produced the Patriot Series, the Asgard Mythical Cities Series, the Final Frontier Series, and also made the Robin Hood Coin for Niue $2, and other various rounds and bars.

This item from the Mason Mint weighs one troy ounce total and is struck in.999 pure silver. This silver round has incredibly detailed artwork that is truly stunning to see.

Blackbeard Silver Round 1 oz

The notorious British pirate Blackbeard (actual name Edward Teach) is portrayed on the front side of the circular. A parrot is perched on his shoulder, and he has two handguns clasped in his crossed arms.

Blackbeard's exquisitely detailed clothing complements the traditional portrayal of a maritime pirate from the eighteenth century. In the background is a treasure chest and a beach with palm trees. The word "BLACKBEARD" and "AVAST YE!" are inscribed on the rim in an Old English typeface on a scroll that fits the era.

Queen Anne's Revenge, Blackbeard's most well-known vessel, is visible on the back side of the round. As it travels over the vast ocean, the ship is seen sailing at full speed. On its main sail is the universal skull and crossbones emblem.

The scene's left and right corners feature decorative representations of mariner's astrolabes, astronomical instruments used by seamen to navigate the waters. "AYE AYE!" is written along the bottom rim in addition to the words "QUEEN ANNE'S REVENGE" along the top rim. Alongside this inscription are the round's weight and purity measurements, which read "1 TROY OUNCE" and ".999 FINE SILVER."

This 1 oz silver round made of .999 Fine silver.

On the more plain sections of this round, you can see that they have a faintly frosted surface. You can get a hint of this frosted appearance if you carefully examine the obverse's edge.
When there is an excessive amount of detail, some coins or rounds suffer, but not these rounds.

Produced by the Mason Mint, it is part of the Pirate Series.

I imagine travelers on the open ocean seeing a pirate vessel, such as black beards queen ann’s revenge would probably have struck fear in any ocean going traveler @silversaver888!😳

I can only imagine! Why would they travel the seas anyway! I would just stay put where I am, hehehe!
Unchartered waters... men, women, children! They are true pioneers... just like the passengers of the first settlements of Jamestown.

True pioneers @silversaver888!😇😊
Very difficult times, I can understand the pioneer spirit having moved cross country twice originally from Cincinnati, but their journey was full of extreme dangers and possible starvation!😬

This Blackbeard themed round is a bit outside Mason Mint's style of bullion products, but the deeper perspective as we can see pirates as individuals as struggling to live free, as many sailors are involuntarily pressed into service, treasure in itself is not freedom but a tool used in pursuit of freedom. In most cases pirates of the golden age practice a rudimentary democracy.

Thanks for stepping in for me Sis.

Odd, I haven't come to any documented evidence of a pet parrot.

Always, with love 🤗🌺❤️

History speaks of how feared Blackbear was. When he returned to the American colonies, he captured 15 ships in just three weeks!!!
Hahaha, none speak of a parrot!

Crikey!!! What more can you possibly want?

Wicked ass coin saver — a cherry on top of any pirate’s ol’ loot pile.

Yes on the weekend and Halloween, however, there are never any kids here as it's just too hard for the parents to drive as a lot of the homes are off the road a ways and with cougars and whatnot prowling around, they might be the ones to get the treats!🙀🙀🙀
🤗😘🌸💕
