A Special Tree

Looking out my bedroom window

I noted that the purple flowering wisteria vine is overgrown! It is very pretty, but it has grown way further to the front of the trellis.

There is no space left for a sitting area, as it is overwhelmed by the vines of the wisteria.

Do you see what I mean 👇?

And the fountain needs cleaning and fresh paint.

It looks like it is plugged due to the debri that has been sitting in the bottom of the second basin.

This is THE tree!

Such beautiful memories this tree brings of the lovely days of summer when we would come here.

Poor, poor oak tree!

The tree is hollowed out to the ground and continues up. It is split into three! Is there something that can be done?

But for now, it will do what it can to cope.

A tree crutch will temporarily help (if it does at all) until the arborist can think of some other way to help the oak tree. It looks healthy otherwise!

It will probably take years...

The tree is the only living memory of my family and it pains me to realize that the tree may not be here forever! The house will be, but what is the house without the tree?

With that kind of tree, and how you are trying to help her, I truly think that this is a special tree that holds a lot of memories for your and everyone else isn't it?

Anywway, do you get frequent bird visitor on that fountain? looks so beautiful

Yes, you are right... it has many memories, many of which I do not know of because I was not born yet.

Oh, how wonderful to sit beneath the tree and remember such fond memories of family times. Time does have a way of marching on whether we want it to or not. Granted, the tree may not remain forever, but your memories will. The tenacity it has thus far to hang on is worth remembering as well, for we too, have a tenacity to hang on despite any hardships that may come.

There are some trees that have special designs on them, they look much more interesting and beautiful. The way you have shared this picture, this tree also looks quite old.

I can almost sense some kind of spiritual message looking at this garden and tree, natural things impress me that way. I hope you find out what that message is, I think that's a reason why you are there.

Without seeing it up close to look at the exposure it’s hard to tell. I had a v-d cherry tree that lasted over a decade.

I hope the arborist has a good idea on how to help that poor oak out. I've seen many trees like that before but never in my yard. It holds so many special memories that it would be a shame to lose it. But the house will remain, it's usually the other way around. The tree lasts forever buy the houses don't... I'm glad you had time to get away and back to the house to enjoy some memories. But from the looks of it you spent a fair amount of time cleaning!
