2025 South Africa Silver Krugerrand
I love stacking the Silver Krugerrand since they are never over-priced!
Although there are many different silver bullion coin programs available on the market, this specific series is very sought-after due to the larger program it is a part of.
Since its introduction in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Krugerrands series, the yearly release of the silver Krugerrand has been part of the coins I stack.
2025 South Africa 1 oz Silver Krugerrand BU
Th obverse of the coin features a left-profile portrait of Paul Kruger. Born on October 10, 1825, in Steynsburg, Cape Colony (modern-day South Africa), Kruger was of German and Dutch descent. He grew up in a Boer farming community, which heavily influenced his commitment to Afrikaner nationalism and the preservation of Boer culture.1
Coin Highlights:
Coins arrive in plastic flips, acrylic tubes of 25 coins, or mint-sealed boxes of 500 coins!
8th release in the South African Silver Krugerrand Series!
Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition.
The face value of 1 Rand (R1) is fully backed by the South African government.
On the obverse is a portrait of Paul Kruger.
The reverse depicts a Springbok antelope.

Where do you begin? What is it like to start at zero? That's the hardest place to be... at zero! You can't have your money to work for you because you've got nothing! It's hard.
But silver is perfectly suited for that! Anybody can start. Anybody who has $5.00 can get a Mercury Dime! But you have to develop a mindset... and repeat it over and over. It is a lifestyle change.

Well, the very first issue of this silver Kruggerand was overpriced but I forgot to go back in the secondary market to see if I could pick one up. However, it doesn't really make a huge difference with the spot price of silver being much higher now.

It does appreciate, even when the spot price is low. You've got to buy them when they are released, and hold them for a bit.

Come to think of it, that 2025 Chinese Dragon is similar being the first new coin now having that Inaugural pricing like the first Silver KRug.
I'm now seeing it listed here in Canada for $126 CAD or $90 USD.

One of my favorite rounds. I had a friend talking about how he inherited all these "krugerrands" and I didn't realize he was talking about a massive amount of gold. Now we can own silver versions along with the gold! !BBH
It has got to be gold he is talking about. Silver Krugerrands are just nine years old. ASE, Britannia, Maples, Libertads, Phiharmonics, and Krugerrand are the best silver coins to stack.

How interesting! This is a world that dazzles me, but I don't dare delve into it because it's completely unknown to me.
