2025 Royal Australia Mint Silver Lunar Year of the Snake Coin
The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra is highly regarded for its popular collections of lunar-themed coins, domed proof coins, and special edition bullion coins in both silver and gold.
Established in 1965, the Mint was the first in the country not to be a branch of The Royal Mint. Before its inception, Australia's coins were minted at various branches of The Royal Mint, including the Sydney Mint, Melbourne Mint, and The Perth Mint.
2025 Australia 1 oz Silver Lunar Year of the Snake BU
These coins cover a wide range of themes, including historical events, astronomy, animals, and the Chinese zodiac. Besides these collectible items, the Royal Australian Mint is responsible for producing Australia's circulating coins.

On the reverse side of the 2025 1 oz Royal Australian Mint Silver Year of the Snake Coin, you'll spot a unique design for the Year of the Snake. Tall bamboo shoots rise in the background, while a snake is artistically depicted coiling around several of these shoots. The snake's body is intricately wrapped, with its head appearing near the bottom of the design, adding a dynamic touch to the overall look. It's a pretty striking piece, don't you think?
On the obverse of the 2025 Royal Australian Mint Silver Year of the Snake Coin, you'll see Charles III in a left-facing profile without a crown. Around him, there's a ring showcasing all 12 Zodiac animals. Each year, this ring rotates to highlight the animal for that year at the top. For 2025, the snake takes center stage in the design.

Snake Strengths
Snakes are known for being self-respecting and steadfast, which means they're not easily swayed by external opinions. They're goal-oriented and, while they might not show their passion outwardly, they have a sharp intuition and loads of inspiration, making them super creative.
In fact, Snakes often find success in artistic careers because they can connect different ideas seamlessly. They also have excellent taste, can move gracefully among the elite, and stay cool even in the most stressful situations.
Snake Weakness
Snakes can often seem emotionally distant, which may come across as coldness or selfishness. People tend to distrust them because they appear calculating and self-centered, leading Snakes to reciprocate that distrust. In romantic relationships, Snakes might find it difficult to be open and vulnerable, instead relying on their usual detachment. This often leads to romantic disappointments and further solidifies their distrust of others.
Someday, when I visit Australia, I will make sure to tour the facilities of the Royal Australian Mint. Experiencing their educational tours and exhibits firsthand would be fascinating. Plus, I'd love to see the intricate coin-making process and maybe even pick up some unique commemorative coins from their gift shop!

I didn't know of so many details about the coins, nor even that Australia had this royal mint.
But they look amazing the designs , and the level of intrinsic details...a whole unknown world to me....y are right not all of us know about collections of this type, I even dare to assure that most of us don't know.

The lunar animals surrounding Charles's portrait is a nice touch. It sets it apart from the typical boring designs with just a bust and some legend on the obverse. Nice collection Saver!

This is pretty cool with the bamboo there along with the snake. I really like that so many different mints choose to make these so you get different variations on the same theme.

It's a really nice coin. It will be interesting to see how the image on the coin changes every twelve years. It's going to be hard to keep coming up with new ideas. I'm curious to see what the Year of the Snake coin will look like in 144 years. 😀
