2025 Great Britain Silver Myths & Legends: Beowulf and the Dragon
There is no bullion collection like the Myths and Legends Series from the Royal Mint.
British legends are a mix of truth and make-believe, which are told and retold by word of mouth. And over time, the details tend to shift and are embellished. They start off with a hint of truth, but after being retold many, many times, legends become tales!
2025 Great Britain Silver Myths & Legends: Beowulf and the Dragon BU
Take Beowulf, for instance. He was a warrior turned king and previously took down Grendel and his mother. After 50 years, he battled an angry dragon (because a slave stole its treasure). Beowulf fights hard and takes down the dragon, but Beowulf is fatally wounded. A story of courage and loyalty!
Coin Highlights:
Contains 1 oz of .999 fine silver.
Continuation of The Royal Mint's Myths and Legends series.
Individual coins come in protective plastic. Multiples of 25 coins come in a plastic tube, and Multiples of 500 coins come with 20 tubes of 25 coins each.
Obverse: Displays the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the face value of 2 pounds.
Reverse: Features fierce Beowulf battling the dragon with his shield and sword. Source
