2024 Australian Silver Koala Coin
The Gold and Silver Koala series was first released in 2007 by the Perth Mint in Australia. This Australian Koala has been portrayed in a different way every year.
Australian Silver Koala coins are made in two sizes: one ounce and one kilogram. It is one of the most sought-after bullion coin series of Perth Mint.
2024 1 oz Australian Silver Koala Coin (BU)
Charles III is the monarch featured in the obverse of the coin. This is the first time that Charles III will be feature in this series.
Coin Highlights:
- 18th issue of Silver Koala Coins.
- First release with King Charles III on the obverse.
- Limited mintage of only 300,000 coins.
- Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver in BU condition.
- Bears a face value of $1 (AUD) backed by the federal government of Australia.
- King Charles III is found on the obverse.
- A koala clings to the trunk of a tree on the reverse.
- Artwork by Ing Ing Jong.
- P125 mint mark from Perth.
- Micro-laser engraved security element on the reverse.

The reverse engraving beautifully captures the details of the koala's fur. This is again a design by Ing Ing Jong.

Perth Mint is one of my favorites.
They put out several series that change design every year rathen
then just changing the date.
I like the koala series but I have not put in any effort in collect them.
