1997 Inaugural Issue American Platinum Eagle1/10 oz

I bought this in December 2016, after I finished buying 1/10 oz gold for the year. I wish I got the 1 oz Platinum Eagle, that time it was selling for cheap!!! I remember the spot price be $909! But I was not into platinum at that time (except for jewelry), and besides, I was just thinking of gold.

The note from the seller says this:
"This is from my personal collection and I pre-ordered it and the photos show how I received it. You will see the COA and I have had it out only a few times. For the most part is has been sitting in safe deposit box all this time."

I'd like to show my

1997 Inaugural Issue American Platinum Eagle 1/10 oz BU

When I got the coin, I rarely took it out of the box. I wanted to honor the way the original owner cared for it, keeping it untouched and protected. Maintaining that continuity just felt right to me, after reading her note.

I figured it was the right thing to do. It just made sense to handle it that way. And honestly, it felt natural to stick with that approach. Afterall, it was my first platinum coin and an inaugural issue.

I’m really glad we have photos and video. They let us see the American Platinum Eagle up close. Even through a screen, the details still come through. We can appreciate how flawless the coin is. And honestly, it’s impressive for something that tiny.

The image on the coin is really a true representation of the Statue of Liberty! The design captures her look so well. You can see the strength and calm in her expression. The details feel honest and familiar. It just makes me smile every time I look at it.

Okay, that’s it. The coin is going back in the box, lol. I’ve admired it long enough for today.

Any longer and I’ll start treating it like it’s worth a million bucks. Box closed before I get carried away, lol!

I like seeing the $10 Face Value on your 1/10 ounce Platinum American Eagle U.S. Coin… Naturally, yours will have Collector Premiums attached…

I don't know why the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle is only $5.00, but we know that face value is not important... intrinsic value is.

Calculating Intrinsic Value
The intrinsic value (melt value) is calculated by taking the weight (troy ounces), verifying purity, and multiplying by the current spot price of the metal.

Things will make more sense, once we’re on the other side of the reset… Actually, the Face Values of our U.S. Coinage “is” more important than most people think…

A classic style for a precious metal not a lot of folks think about. We have some platinum as well. It's special of course, but I think we all tend to look more towards silver and gold! Thanks for sharing sis! Much love to ya!🤗😘😍🌺❤️ !LADY !LUV !PIMP !BBH

Jewelry... platinum is more valuable than silver jewelry. And platinum jewelry is popular, not coins, though.
Much !LUV to you and xoxo 🤗😘😍

It was worth taking that beautiful coin out of the box to bring it here to Hive and show it to everyone. You've made a wonderful acquisition, and keeping it as its original designer intended has been a fitting decision.

Being inaugural, it is already rare, but also, although I don't know much about coins, it's true that seeing the Statue of Liberty makes you smile. Showing its relief, its shine, and how well preserved it is was spectacular. I loved admiring it. It's true that saving in gold and silver isn't for everyone, and honestly, I love silver. Thank you for bringing it, it's wonderful. Hugs!

What a beautiful coin. I don't have a platnium coin in my collection yet, but maybe someday. Just haven't thought much about it. After seeing this, I am thinking much more :-)
