Have you ever faced a failure and rejection due to lack of skills? Or not qualified? This happened to me a few years ago when I wanted to get clients from overseas, as a background I am a content writer in Indonesia and really want to be able to get clients from overseas. Until one day I applied to a digital agency abroad and was selected as a candidate to work on a biography website for someone. But it was failed because my speaking skills were still lacking so it might be a bit difficult to be understood by foreigners.

Finally I tried to discuss this problem with my friend related to this problem, and finally came up with the idea to make a speaking season to improve this skill, we arrange one day speaking about some topics that are still related to business.

Training for Meeting and Presentation With Client

To be honest, it's been a while since I've had this meeting and presentation exercise. Because the prompt for today's speaking class was Imagine you're pitching your services as a top-tier provider to a high-profile client. Your goal is to convince them that you're the best choice for their needs and it should have an opening Slide, Your Solution, Unique Value Proposition, Case Studies or Testimonials, Pricing/Offer and Call to Action.

I think it's a bit difficult especially seeing my ability to explain is still very limited, but trying to make this a challenge and try how far I can complete this challenge.

What I Do ?

Preparing well like the prompt asked, one of which is preparing the slides well starting from making the opening slide, so far what I think to enter into the presentation later is related to the opening slide which will contain a quote related to the services I offer, I don't know if it's suitable or not, at least this is what I think now xixixi.

Then I will continue with the results of the website audit and content plan that will suit the needs of the client's website. I will also try to explain the content management and website development strategies so that it can perform better. In the future, I will also analyse the performance of the content that has been created.

After doing some research and reading some interesting presentations for business pitching, I found some references that seemed suitable for use, and well finally I decided to use the presentation below.

What I Hope?

Overall my mentor said that my speaking skills have improved greatly compared to a few weeks ago when I first entered the class. I hope that I can improve even more, oh yes i just remember if anyone wants to help me learn speaking English, we can have discord chat together.
