Often than not, I believe most of us would find a couple of our leaders in the workplace are the true ostrich, they could have been brilliant once when they were rank and file as I believe most of us started with our feet on the ground but as they slowly move up the corporate ladder, their feet gets off the ground and they started to get unrealistic.

They do one thing well, to package some idea that is unrealistic or outright disadvantageous to us in a manner that tries to confuse us.

I think the best way in such cases would be to ostracize the ostrich, by asking logical but questions they avoid addressing, this is why they are doing packaging. Don't put them off directly but ask questions, reason with them to allow them to know you knew exactly what they have up their sleeves and you are not keen to be in the game or what they have to offer. Show them they are the ostrich.
