Ann arrived at the office to a strange atmosphere today, right after the festive period. Almost all in the office have applied for annual leave, including her manager Amos who has also apply for leave from the department head.

"Guess what! Ann, you have to tank all the tasks today"
"Noted boss" replied Ann nonchalantly.

It seems like it don't surprise Ann that only herself and the department head is present after the festive season. It turns out that it's all planned by the team, starting with Amos, who is really unhappy with the current policies that has been implemented by the department head. An autocratic leader by multiple metrics. His pet phase to the team is "Follow all company policies, I am not going to make exceptions. Whatever it is, I don't want anyone in my team to be highlighted"

He is also known to many even those that is outside of his leadership to be one that is the first to implement the cane from senior management and the last to let the team to know of any carrots.

So as the company does not have additional off days to complement the festival, the team decided to rebel by going on mass leave, other than Ann the latest hire who does not have any leave yet.
