Go figure it out, is something I really hate hearing from the leadership. It gave me the feeling that either they are plain lazy to do it themselves or they have absolutely no idea how to go about solving a problem.

Simply by getting their subordinate to figure it out, they try achieving perfection of their pride and shake off the issue. As a leader, they should be brilliant enough to solve enough problems to be in that position. And they should help their reports grow by guiding them along the way.

But to handle such leader is ironically easy by telling them you will figure it out, they would be more than happy or even waiting for this figure it out from you.

They cannot be using it too frequently for their image, remember? At times, we have to help them use it.
