The Falling Rain - A Freewrite

The cloud was gathering, and suddenly the power was restored. I instantly thought of blending some veggies, and I took money and off I went out of the house to the nearest store I get my veggies… few minutes to the place the rain started, I thought it wasn’t going to be serious but it took me by surprise I ran and entered the store.

For like 20 minutes, this rain was still pouring heavily, and I was stuck. The light I'm trying to use went off, and going back home is another thing. The rain eventually subsided, and I got what I wanted to buy and left.

Stepping out of the store, there was a flood everywhere, and I was like How will I find my way now. I waited a bit, but it was not looking like what would be off in time soon.

When I saw people passing, I got the courage to go too, carefully following those that was going in front.

I eventually escaped to dry land, and the people I was following took the other turn while I also followed another part. On getting close to my house, I saw the tiny river that has a bridge at the back of my house being flooded and even overflowing to the bank of the river. my heart skipped.

How will I pass through this 💔 I stood there for some minutes just watching then I thought to myself whether to go take the other side but I know that was a long journey I wasn’t prepared for.

While still thinking I saw a man coming with his son and they off there shoes to step into the flooded river haaaa…

When I saw them coming I took courage and I stepped in (not the river but the flooded bank that leads to the bridge) while I was moving I can practically hear the sound of my heart beat I was scared to the last. But I eventually pulled through to dry land.
