Habit Of Giving : A Freewrite

I feel the need to engage the development and the empowerment of the African girl. Like the saying goes, when you empower a girl, you have empowered a society.

Absolutely. Yeah. Thank you once again for being on the program today. So let's start with your journey in the social space. That's quite a Seaview we have out there.

Can you tell us how this journey began? Well, I come from a home where given is almost like a lifestyle. It is a lifestyle.

I have parents who would give and give and give and you know, we do. Kids back then would complain and say. Pretty soon you're going to give us out to solve some other persons problem.

But I come from a home where giving has been like a lifestyle so I grew up seeing my parents give to the less privileged around us. And my mom specifically was, you know, someone that influenced the habit of giving because every young person within our immediate community or environment would always come to her for food, specifically food and advice.

She was more or less like the protector of other vulnerable women within our community. So it came as no surprise that I found myself within the sector. But honestly, I didn't plan to do this as a career.

I started computer science at the University of Benin. And for me, my goal was to eventually go into the tech space. I was coming there because I know you have a, you have a background in.
