The Real Superheroines of Hive Valley

a webcomic, by Matt S. Law

Finally, some gratuitous nudity. Although there was a whole discussion in the editor's office about whether or not we even needed that CENSORED bar. After all, she is made of stone, so it would be just like showing a statue from ancient Rome or Greece. I don't even think tops were invented until after the Parthenon was built.

And by the way, if you watch the video of the time lapse, the CENSORED bar is the last thing that goes on.

So Miss Fury is panther-tough, but I'm pretty sure a panther can't be slammed into concrete hard enough to break it. So there may be a chance for some serious injury from that Granite beat down. Speaking of people made of stone beating up people, I am really liking the trailers for the new Fantastic Four movie coming out soon. And Huntress is a fan of the first Avengers movie. Which my AV crew has never heard of because that movie is totally protected by copyrights, trademarks, possibly anti-counterfeiting strips, and some seriously sue-happy lawyers.

So, my guys can't comment on Hulk smash, but I am totally protected if a public domain super villainess does.

Right?

Of course.

Boilerplate:
The Real Superheroines of Hive Valley is a webcomic about a reality television show following the lives of seven public domain superheroines that all live together in the same mansion in the elite community of Hive Valley.

You can read the series from the beginning ---> HERE.

Created in Clip Studio Paint Pro on my mobile art studio which is a Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. Here is the time lapse video:

Do Marvel have super lawyers? I guess there's She Hulk. It looks like you have plenty of public domain characters to use anyway.

Disney lawyers are the ones you really need to worry about. But, yeah. Plenty of public domain characters. Although I just found out that Madam Satan is making a big comeback, from the pages of Archie Comics no less.

The comics world seems keen to recycle whatever it can. They do it for the movies too. How many times have Superman, Batman and Spider Man been rebooted now? It's almost like they are scared to try something new.

For a while, Spider-Man in the comics was going through actual character growth. Peter Parker got married, started working as a teacher in the Bronx, made the decision to publicly announce his secret identity. Then made a deal with the devil to undo all of that just to reset Spider-Man to the exact same guy he was 50 years ago. I think because one of the writers wanted him to have a one-night stand and they definitely couldn't have him do that while he was married to Mary Jane. So instead, they just magically re-wrote history so that he never actually married her. Waaa.
