Poor Phantom Lady. Embarrassed by an embarrassment of a superhero.
If you read my notes regarding Dr. Darkness in yesterday's post (and assuming that they are correct), me having him appear in two panels hereby makes this the most screen time he has ever had in any production. If he suddenly becomes popular, I think it will be safe to say that I am the one that launched his career.
Maybe he should appear in Kickman. Nah, as his agent, I don't think he's ready for the big time. Maybe he'll order a cappuccino in Java Jaguar.
Of course, he is an eligible bachelor. And a doctor. Maybe he can start dating one of the gals and ride on their coat tails into superhero fame. Anything can happen on Mystery Island!

I have some old comic annuals with characters who are mostly forgotten. I was more into British comics as a kid.

A lot of my early comics were the "Duck" comics, like Scrooge McDuck and whatnot. I watched a YouTube video by some guy that researches comic artists and I had no idea how popular the Disney Duck line of comics was. More so in Europe than here in the states.
This is the video. It is long (26 minutes) but it was interesting. Also shows how evil Disney is to their artists.

I saw some duck comics around and I know they were big in Germany. Europe had its own comic culture. I did love the Asterix books. I read Tintin too. Maybe I should do a post about such things.
