When you have the advantage in a fight, that is not the time to begin a conversation. If Minerva didn't know that then certainly Hippolyta would! Unfortunately, Mary only has the strength of Hippolyta. Wisdom of Minerva doesn't help her at all in a fight unless she picks up a few levels of Cleric.

Chatting doesn't win fights unless you can confuse the enemy, but this guy seems focused. He's a bit of an indoctrinated robot type though.
