CHALLENGE RULES

RULESET: BRIAR PATCH

Description: All Monsters have the Thorns ability.

Info: Try to avoid the use of melee monsters or use monsters with Reflection Shield.

The Battle

Battle Rulesets	Description	Info
RISE OF THE COMMONS	Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.	Make a balanced team. Focus your attacks on a specific opponent's monster.
TAKING SIDES	Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.	There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but make a balanced team.
BRIAR PATCH	All Monsters have the Thorns ability.	Try to avoid uses of melee monsters or use monsters with Reflection Shield.

Lineup

It was a Modern Diamond Beginner league (my favorite tournament type). Mid-mana game without neutral and epic/legendary monsters.

Card	Strategy
	Immortalis - He is very good in almost every type of game. Immortalis has 3 good abilities, -1 health is always useful, and the shatter was the key in this game.
	Mycelic Infantry - However it is a melee monster, the shield ability helps him to not get to much damage from thorns.
	Regal Peryton - Very speedy magic monster. Luckily it is a rare type monster. I put it in my every Earth team.
	Goblin Psychic - My other most used Earth monster with good synergy with Immortalis.
	Venari Seedsmith - It has a good attack and, scavenger ability made it also very strong at the end of the game.
	Venari Scout - I didn't find a better 3 mana monster for this game, so I selected him. It was an average decision.
	Mycelic Slipspawn - I also like and use it a lot. With it we can control little bit of the enemy attack orders.

Tournament Results

And that was the missed opportunity. I played only a few games and I wanted to play the rest after work, but I didn't get back to the computer in time. Luckily I won back the entry prize.

Do you like the BRIAR PATCH ruleset? Why or why not?

More or less yes. My favorite monsters type are the magic ones, so in this type of battle I can use them more.
