RULESET: EVEN STEVENS

Description: Only units with even mana costs may be used.

Info: This rule does not apply to summoners.

The Battle

Battle Rulesets	Description	Info
TAKING SIDES	Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.	There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but make a balanced team.
AIM TRUE	Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target.	Blind, flying, and dodge are useless. This Ruleset doesn't give Ranged monsters the ability to attack from the first position. Choose higher speed or higher health combined with high damage output. Return Fire ability is great in this ruleset.
EVEN STEVENS	Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.	There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of the mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use.

Lineup

It was a new gold level tournament game without natural monsters.

Card	Strategy
	Quix the Devious - I wanted to use some dragon cards so it was a good fit.
	Djinn Chwala - I used to use it a lot because it is a strong and good trank. Nowadays there are some better choices but it was a good for this battle.
	Twilight Basilisk - A good second tank for 4 mana. Also not the most used monster but for this ruleset it is a good deal.
	Baakjira - My favorite tank monster of the water monsters. Very good health with heal and void and good support abilities. Also useful in the middle of the team just like in this battle.
	Dhampir Infiltrator - I hoped she could become very strong with Vruz help.
	Vruz - Martyr monster is ideal for most of the game. Vruz is a quick and dirty damage dealer, and only 2 mana.
	Merdhampir - I use this monster in regular monster but I selected cause it was the best last choice for 4 mana.

Battle - Replay

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes. 66% of the time I win, not a full clean win but it's not bad. I didn't find any better team.

Tournament Results

This was the first time that I achieved the second round in the new tournaments. In the second round, there were a lot of whales (used to be the Diamond Beginner was much easier) and very tough games there. I don't like to current tournament formats. In the next month 1 good change is coming, not only the first 64 but the first 128 is paid out.

Do you like EVEN STEVENS ruleset? Why or why not?

No. It limits the available cards a lot.
