Back then, pastries and cakes are easier to be purchased because price is lower. It's different nowadays. As the inflation rises, and so majority of products surge in prices. Many felt that buying cakes is now a luxury especially those underprivileged ones.

I went to Red Ribbon to buy a cake for our family reunion. I noticed the prices are so high now. We bought one around 2 years ago, and it's cheaper. It's an evidence that life is much difficult now in a span of short two years.
