Creature Designs : Monster Hunter world

Designs for Monster Hunter world. (not official but as college assignment)

The Devil/Hook Fly is a fly adapted to living in a world of monsters and leviathans. Its primary mode of survival is for it to latch itself onto larger monsters and act as a parasite by sucking the monsters blood like a mosquito would. Its alternative source of food comes by it latching on to smaller and younger monsters with its meat hook like mandibles and dropping them from above.

Mandibles are attached to the creatures abdomen rather than the front to provide the creature with a bigger 'grip'
