My Story

When I was in primary two, I had a friend name Grace. Grace and I had always been together. Plus we stayed in the same neighborhood and we were in the same class.

Sometimes Grace's parents would take me along with Grace to school and sometimes my parents will take her along with me to school.

We were very close that it seemed that nothing or nobody could interfere with our friendship. 😍

After a while, Grace started talking to another classmate of ours, I began to have grudges against Grace because she was spending her time with a new girl by name Bella.

I became heartbroken 💔 and could not understand what was happening to my friend Grace. I decided to find out by watching what they do whenever they are together. I noticed that Grace and Bella were always reading toy stories and playing tomboy games. So maybe she didn't want to read school books and stand in the mirror to adore herself like we use to do any more.

She was interested in playing games sometimes and not studying all the time. I was always reading my school book because that is what my parents usually make me do. They didn't allow me play games so I didn't have a flare for games. But my friend on other hand was a free spirit.

After sometimes, I decided to find a new friend. I tried making friends with Ekemini after the teacher announced that she made the finest apron in Home Economics class. I had a thing for sewing so seeing the result I already liked hervand wanted to be friends with her. I had a conversation with her and we became friends after that.

Grace realized that I too had a new friend. So the closeness between I and Grace reduced. We were never as close as before till we finished Primary school.

My lesson

My lesson from this experience is that communication is very important in friendship.
