I guess these green carnivores would be a great help against insects such as mosquitoes pestering me haha
We had the pitchers before but when my grandma died, they also vanished. I want to have them again, and also the venus fly trap, they look amazing!

They do help with bugs. When I got started with them, I had pinguiculas and they caught the gnats. I then advanced to many other types. You probably lost your grandma's pitcher plants due to the water. Whoever got them may have used tap water for them. They need distilled water or rain water. Minerals in regular water kills them. Regular dirt kills them as well. They need moss which has no minerals in it.
