HIVE-REACHOUT INLEO INITIATIVE. UNFORGETTABLE EVENTS
Hive-Reachout Weekly Prompt "An Unforgettable Event"
I have experienced a lot of things that I don't think I can forget, the topic for our weekly discussion talks about unforgettable events, definitely, in one way or the other we all might have had some of these moments we can no longer forget, so I would be sharing some of mine.
I remember when we were still a complete house, me and my family, we live in Jos Nigeria, and for anyone that knows about Jos, knows that there are lot of stories about the place, back when i was not really grown up, I remembered one day I decided to go out of my house to play with friends because it was something my dad would allow me Do only onec awhile.
That faithful day, my daddy send me and my senior brother to a close by bakery to get bread, on our way, I saw some of the kids under a mango tree taking plenty mangos, I'm a lover of mango and on seeing them, I was eager to be among them so I could have fun also, returning back home with my elder brother from the errand, I told my daddy I would like to be outside
At first he didn't buy the idea, he wanted me inside and not to go anywhere by myself.
All I had in mind was to go meet the other kids so I could join them in the mango hunt, my dad tried convincing to stay back inside, but on my face you could see clearly how desperate I was to be outside, just to make me happy my dad allowed me to go out a in bit, I was very excited, then I went to the spot where the other kids were, I'm not the type that would go out regularly so they were happy to see me.
While we were under the mango tree, some of the boys were up plugging the mango while some of us were gathering it and also lick if we want, all of a sudden, we started see a tick huge smoke on air, not knowing what was going on, we didn't really mind and we continue with the mango, in a short time, the whole place falled into confusion and people began running and shouting, we were all confused and all the other kids began running too, I did know what to do or where to go, people where running from the direction that leads to my house, so I couldn't take the road back home.
I had to look for tree I could claim because there was nowhere to hide, and no one would pay attention to me, I spent a lot of time on the mango tree trying to hide because everyone was running and I had nothing to or where to run to, all the other kids had run off and I was the only one left, I was there until the day had started getting dark already, almost falling asleep on the tree.
Later on I heard a voice that sounds like that of my brother and my sister, then I looked down and saw they were the ones looking for me all over the place, I shouted my sister's name, then they came to where I was and my brother helped brought me down from the tree, I could see in thier face how disturbed they were thinking something might have happened to me, they took me home and I found my mum was crying already, she was shock to see me, she ran to me and huge me asking of where I have been all this time, my sister then told her where they found.
By that time my dad was already at the police station to lay complaints about his missing child and all family members were worried about the news already, the incident was a crisis attack that occurred and some few persons lost their lifes, my dad was short of words when he found out I was back home, from that day onwards, anytime I hear about crisis it's more like the incident had been refreshed in my head, and I could remember every single thing that had happened that day. It's quite unforgettable for me.
Thank you all for your time, God bless the Admin and everyone other person here Amen 🙏.
