RE: A Woman on the Fourteenth Floor

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

It was so heartbreaking to hear how the woman ended her life by jumping from the 14th floor of her apartment to the ground. News like this really shakes the heart and makes you pause for a moment. 🙏

Living alone can sometimes mean having no one to talk to, which may lead to deep feelings of loneliness. When those emotions are kept inside for too long, they can grow into depression, anxiety, and overwhelming stress. Without support or someone to confide in, a person may struggle silently. In some painful situations, this can lead to harmful thoughts, including thoughts of suicide. 😭

That’s why connection, support, and open conversations about mental health are so important. No one should feel like they have to carry everything alone. 🙏

She planned her exit so well. Her apartment was so clean, her belongings were packed and labeled. She left a detailed suicide note for her family. The timing of her jump was intentionally picked so she would be discovered in the morning instead of at night when it would inconvenience the neighbors. She moved her car and left her parking space empty to "anticipate" her fall. It was not an impulsive decision. It was eerie and heartbreaking at the same time.

Yeah, I failed to fully comprehend that information at first.
It seems she had carefully planned her suicide, which makes it even more unsettling.
It’s really eerie and heartbreaking to think about.
A person doesn’t usually end their own life without a very heavy reason or without feeling like they just want to escape from everything. The pain, hopelessness, fear, or problems that feel impossible to escape. We may not always understand their reasons, but we can acknowledge that the burden must have been overwhelming.
May her soul rest in peace. 🙏
