[EN/PT-BR] I left television and radio aside, information is now only on the internet!

Currently we have countless ways to obtain information, whether through the internet or older means such as radio and television, information is at our disposal to be consumed and learn something new or simply to learn about a situation. I confess that I abandoned the television to watch the news or any other programming and I have always used the internet and social networks to keep myself informed.

Television was once a great partner of mine, before the boom in computers and the internet here in Brazil, I was a faithful companion of it and I even liked to watch some news programs, I remember that I watched a lot at night. which was when I was already at home, it was a program that I did with my mother, at the time when I still lived with her. But, as time went by, a lot of things changed, including this.

When Brazil started to become a war of left and right ideologies, I realized how the press really manipulates things and especially on television and radio, they show the information the way they want and not as it corresponds to reality and this started to bother me a lot, because we know that The press should be, in theory, impartial and neutral, but that is not the case in fact. Therefore, the migration to the internet and networks like X, for example, was essential for my evolution and liberation from the vicious cycle of these means of communication.

Back in the day, I just watched and believed, so if they said 2 + 2 was 5, I believed it (this is just a personal example) but as I grew and learned more, I realized that some things no longer fit, so the information was told differently and with my understanding of things, I began to realize how this was a great evil for all of us, especially for me. Brazil may have become the country of fake news. Unfortunately, we have been doing this for a few years now and it seems that we are far from over.

I believe that an ordinary person, like It's normal for you and me to spread fake news, it's even acceptable to a certain extent, after all, we'll do everything to defend the point of view that we believe to be right, but when the big television stations start telling lies and distorting the truth, I think the “crime” gets worse, after all, what about their credibility? They are giants, money and structure are not a problem and the first thing was for them to be neutral, but even so, television stations take the side of a party or an ideology and that, regardless of which side you are on, is out of the ordinary in my opinion.

So whenever there is a doubt or when I realize that some news is too strange, I make a point of going to the internet, either searching on a search engine or going to social media on profile pages that I believe are legitimate in relation to the truth and with that, I test what I saw to see if it is true or not. Nowadays, for every piece of information I get, I think I have to research it in 3 or 4 different places to try to understand what is true or not.

Anyway, my time in front of television and open channels have decreased drastically, so it turns out that lately it's only news from websites or social networks, I think I freed myself from the television ties a long time ago and now, when the source is not just 1 channel, but rather an internet with infinite possibilities of finding information, you realize that television is just a kind of “weapon” of the system, so free yourself from it as soon as possible!

Na atualidade temos inúmeras formas de obter informações, seja pela internet ou os meios mais antigos como rádio e televisão, a informação está ao nosso dispor para poder consumi-la e aprender algo novo ou apenas para se inteirar de uma situação. Confesso que há muito tempo abandonei a televisão para ver notícias ou qualquer outra programação que seja e tenho sempre recorrido à internet e as redes sociais para me manter informado.

A televisão já foi uma grande parceira minha, no qual antes do boom em relação a computadores e a internet aqui no Brasil, eu era um companheiro fiel dela e até gostava de ver alguns programas de noticiais, lembro que eu assistia muito no período da noite que era quando já estava em casa, era uma programação que eu fazia com a minha mãe, na época em que ainda morava com ela. Mas, com o passar do tempo, muita coisa mudou, inclusive isso.

Quando o Brasil começou a virar uma guerra de ideologias de esquerda e direita, percebi como a impressa realmente manipula as coisas e principalmente na televisão e rádio, eles mostram as informações da forma que eles querem e não como condiz a realidade e isso começou a me chatear bastante, pois sabemos que a imprensa deveria ser na teoria isenta, neutra, o que não ocorre de fato. Portanto, a migração para a internet e redes como o X, por exemplo, foi essencial para a minha evolução e liberação do círculo vicioso desses meios de comunicação.

Antigamente, apenas assistia e acreditava, então se falassem que 2 + 2 era 5, eu acreditava (isso é apenas um exemplo pessoal) mas a medida em que crescia e aprendia mais, fui percebendo que algumas coisas não se encaixavam mais, portanto as informações eram contadas alteradamente e com o meu entendimento das coisas, fui percebendo como isso era um grande mal para todos nós e principalmente para mim. O Brasil talvez tenha se tornado o país das fake news, infelizmente estamos atualmente há alguns anos nisso e parece que estamos longe de terminar.

Acredito que uma pessoa comum, como eu e você espalharmos fake news é normal, é até aceitável em certo ponto, afinal, faremos de tudo para defender o ponto de vista que acreditamos ser o certo, mas, quando as grandes emissoras de televisão começam a falar mentiras e a distorcer a verdade, acho que o “crime” fica pior, afinal, e a credibilidade deles? Eles são gigantes, dinheiro e estrutura não é problema e a primícia era que fossem neutros, mas mesmo assim, emissoras de televisão tomam o lado de um partido ou de uma ideologia e isso, independente de qual lado está, está fora do normal na minha opinião.

Então sempre que existe a dúvida ou quando percebo que alguma notícia é estranha demais, faço questão de ir à internet, seja pesquisando pelo site de pesquisa ou indo nas redes sociais em páginas de perfis que acredito que são legítimos em relação à verdade e com isso, tiro a prova do que vi se é ou não verdade. Hoje em dia, para cada informação que obtenho, acho que tenho que pesquisar em uns 3 ou 4 lugares diferentes para tentar entender o que é verdade ou não.

Enfim, meu tempo na frente da televisão e de canais abertos diminuíram drasticamente, então acaba que ultimamente é apenas noticiais de sites ou redes sociais, acho que me livrei das amarras televisivas há muito tempo e agora, quando a fonte não é apenas 1 canal, mas sim uma internet inteira com infinitas possibilidades de encontrar a informação, você percebe que a televisão é apenas uma espécie de “arma” do sistema, então, liberte-se disso quanto antes!
