[EN/PT-BR] Getting out of the routine and changing everything: doing odd jobs to earn money!

At certain moments in life, we need to change our thinking and way of acting a little to achieve some goal, whatever it may be. It could be something sentimental or financial, it depends on each person and their moment, but who has never been through this? If you are the same all the time, your actions and decisions may only get in the way of achieving something.

My story that I would like to share with you is something that follows this idea, which even continues as a reflection, after all, we want to achieve things easily, we are always running after easy money, but this is not always the case. So there was a time when I really wanted to buy some clothes and some sneakers for myself, I remember that a super cool sneaker had come out and I really liked it, I don't remember the brand, but it was blue and black and I love those colors.

But at that time, I wasn't working yet, I was just studying and I was already quite hooked on computers, Internet, games and everything, so as I always say here, I've always been a nerd and manual work was never my area, but this time I had to do some different things if I really wanted to buy these items I wanted, so I did some quick jobs, what we call here in Brazil “bicos” to get money, it was the quickest way to get it, without necessarily needing a steady job and waiting for a salary.

I remember an uncle of mine was carrying out renovations at his house, so it was something I never imagined doing, I went there and asked if I could help with something and he said he needed help unloading it and putting it somewhere in the neighborhood. his house, some bricks that were in front of his house. Damn, I never imagined myself doing that, carrying bricks, but well, that's what I did, even with difficulty and clumsiness, I carried these bricks with him and another man there to the place he wanted.

My thoughts were between “what am I doing here” and “think about what you want to buy!” to have the strength to finish this load of bricks, it was really tiring and it all made me He remembered the reasons I always avoided heavy work like this, I had rediscovered myself, that I really wanted to work with my mind and not with my arms! Well, even so, the money I earned was still not enough, so I needed to do something else out of the ordinary to gather the necessary resources.

This out of the ordinary I tried to pull aside something that I liked to work with, which was computers, so even though I knew how to work, install programs, do some virus checks and format, I didn't disclose this to try to do the things odd jobs and earn some money, in truth, I never really liked doing it, but for this occasion, I had to make a point of knocking on the neighborhood door and asking if they had a computer and if it was slow or in need of formatting, in case the person said that I needed to format, I would do it for a more affordable price.

That way I got the money I needed, it was an adventure, as it's not my normal thing to go knocking on people's doors asking if they need a “computer doctor”, that was almost crazy thing at the time. I remember my mother and some friends even joking with me, saying that they couldn't believe that I had gone to pick up bricks or left the house to do something to earn money, it was something really out of the ordinary, but in the end, it helped me achieve my goal. that wanted.

Therefore, sometimes we need to get out of the cave and do something different, especially when it involves money, doing the same thing every day may not result in the gain we want, so we need to do something extra to achieve it and that means even acting outside from the area we are used to professionally, thankfully everything worked out in the end!

Em certos momentos da vida, precisamos mudar um pouco nosso pensamento e forma de agir para conseguir alcançar algum objetivo, seja ele qual for. Pode ser algo sentimental ou financeiro, isso depende de cada um e do seu momento, mas, quem nunca passou por isso? Se você for o mesmo o tempo todo, pode ser que suas ações e decisões apenas atrapalhem mais ainda para você conquistar algo.

A minha história que gostaria de compartilhar com vocês é algo que segue essa ideia, que segue até mesmo como reflexão, afinal, queremos conquistar as coisas tudo de forma fácil, estamos sempre correndo atrás de dinheiro fácil, mas nem sempre é assim. Então teve uma vez, que eu queria muito comprar umas roupas e um tênis para mim, lembro que havia lançado um tênis super maneiro e que gostei muito, não lembro qual a marca, mas era azul com preto e eu amo essas cores.

Só que naquela época, eu ainda não trabalhava, apenas estudava e já era bem vidrado em computador, Internet, jogos e tudo mais, então como sempre digo aqui, sempre fui um nerd e trabalho braçal nunca foi a minha área, mas desse vez tive que fazer algumas coisas diferentes se eu realmente queria comprar esses itens que desejava, sendo assim, fiz alguns trabalhos rápidos, o que chamamos aqui no Brasil de “bicos” para conseguir um dinheiro, era a forma mais rápida para conseguir, sem precisar necessariamente de um trabalho fixo e esperar um salário.

Lembro que teve um tio meu que estava realizando uma reforma na casa dele, então foi uma coisa que eu nunca imaginei fazer, fui lá e perguntei se podia auxiliar em algo e ele disse que precisava de ajuda para descarregar e colocar em um lugar lá da casa dele, alguns tijolos que estavam na frente da casa dele. Caramba, nunca me imaginei fazendo isso, carregando tijolo, mas bem, foi isso que fiz, mesmo com dificuldade e desajeitado, carreguei juntamente com ele e mais outro homem lá estes tijolos para o lugar que ele queria.

Meus pensamentos ficavam entre “o que estou fazendo aqui” e “pensa no que você quer comprar!” para ter forças de terminar esse carregamento de tijolos, era realmente cansativo e isso tudo me lembrou dos motivos que sempre evitei trabalho pesado assim, eu tinha me redescoberto, que realmente queria trabalhar com a mente e não com os braços! Bem, mesmo assim o dinheiro que ganhei ainda não era o suficiente, então precisava fazer mais alguma coisa fora do normal para juntar os recursos necessários.

Esse fora do normal tentei puxar para o lado de algo que eu gostava de mexer, que era os computadores, então por mais que eu soubesse mexer, instalar programas, fazer algumas verificações de vírus e formatar, eu não divulgava isso para tentar ir fazendo os bicos e ganhar um dinheiro, na verdade, nunca gostei muito de fazer, mas para essa ocasião, tive que fazer questão de ir batendo na porta da vizinhança e perguntar se eles tinham computador e se estavam lentos ou precisando de formatar, caso a pessoa falasse que precisava formatar, iria realizar isso por um preço mais em conta.

Dessa forma consegui o dinheiro que precisava, foi uma aventura isso tudo, pois não é o meu normal sair batendo na porta da casa das pessoas perguntando se elas precisam de um “médico de computador”, isso era quase que coisa de doido na época. Lembro da minha mãe e alguns amigos até brincando comigo, dizendo que não acreditavam que eu tinha ido pegar tijolo ou saído de casa para fazer alguma coisa para ganhar dinheiro, foi algo realmente fora do comum, mas que no fim, me ajudou a conquistar o que queria.

Sendo assim, às vezes precisamos sair da caverna e fazer algo diferente, ainda mais quando envolve dinheiro, fazer o mesmo todo dia pode não resultar no ganho que queremos, então é preciso fazer algo a mais para conseguir e isso quer dizer até mesmo atuar fora da área de que estamos acostumados profissionalmente, ainda bem que no final deu tudo certo!
