[EN/PT-BR] I should like books and reading them more, but unfortunately I don't.

The books They are sources of inspiration and imagination for all of us. Many of them don't even have images, precisely so we can imagine everything and walk through the story in our minds, thinking about what the characters will be like? The setting? How everyone sees that world, that universe? Well, although I enjoy writing a lot for Hive, my first niche was writing about games, whether from Hive or elsewhere. Anyway, I ended up shifting and focusing on a wide range of texts: reflections, opinions, stories, my perspective on a subject. I like writing, but reading books has never been my strong point.

So, when did I ever read a physical book? Wow, I don't even remember that! I believe the only books I read were the ones my school required us to read so we could work on them. Aside from that, I've never had any interest in reading books. Even with the advent of virtual reading methods, whether on computers, cell phones, or digital books in general (e-books), I've never been a fan of them. I really enjoy reading only quick news, I think in the same format we have today at Hive, whether long posts (blog) or short ones, like an X or something like that.

I know how important books are, especially for children and teenagers. If you ask me today if I prefer children reading books the old-fashioned way or using the cell phones they use today, I would definitely tell them to read books. Now, if you ask me if I want to read a book, the answer is definitely no. Reading books is a pleasure that should be instilled early; otherwise, once you become an adult like me, it becomes more difficult to start reading a book. At least that's how I think. For a developing child, it's easier to shape things, like the art of reading, for example.

Will I pick up a physical book and read in the future? I really don't know. Maybe yes or no, but I think it's actually difficult; I'm not used to it. I try to pass it on to my kids, so they can read not just books, but comics. That's definitely much more fun and enjoyable than a book for them. Of course, we have books full of pictures, and that excites any child, but, as I mentioned in the paragraphs above, our beloved cell phone has become a kind of villain in children's lives.

Reading is a wonderful thing in our lives. Although I don't know many people who have this habit, I remember seeing one or two people posting on Instagram that they like books. Now imagine having 300, 500, or I don't know, thousands of people and seeing less than 5 people in their Stories who say they read a book. This is frightening, because before cell phones, we know that books were one of the main ways to stretch our imagination and provide an escape from reality, a task that has now migrated to cell phones and computers.

Finally, books should be encouraged. Yes, despite the difficulty, I believe that reading is one of the best things we can do, whether to distract ourselves or learn something. Getting away from the internet and our cell phones to simply be there for that moment of reading can be rewarding and also help us take a break from screen time. Deep down, I would like to have a greater habit of reading, this would certainly be reflected even in my publications here at Hive, but well, not that I'm going to try, but it's never too late to start a new routine, right?

Os livros são fontes de inspiração e muita imaginação para todos nós. Muitos deles nem têm imagens, justamente para podermos nós mesmos imaginar tudo e caminhar com a história em nossa mente, pensando em como serão os personagens? O ambiente? Como todos veem aquele mundo, aquele universo? Bem, apesar de gostar de escrever bastante para a Hive, meu primeiro nicho foi escrever sobre os jogos, sejam eles da Hive ou fora dele. Enfim, acabei mudando e fiquei com os textos mais diversos: reflexão, opinião, histórias, minha visão sobre um assunto, eu gosto de escrever, mas ler livros nunca foi o meu forte.

Então, quando li um livro em sua forma física? Caramba, nem lembro disso! Acredito que os únicos livros que lia eram aqueles que a escola obrigava a ler para que trabalhássemos em cima dele. Tirando isso, nunca tive o interesse de ler livros. Mesmo com a chegada de formas de leitura virtual, seja em computadores, celulares, livros digitais em geral (e-books), nunca fui fã disso. Realmente gosto de ler somente notícias rápidas, acho que no mesmo formato que temos hoje na Hive, sejam postagens longas (blog) ou curtas, como se fossem um X ou coisa do tipo.

Sei como livros são importantes, principalmente para as crianças e adolescentes, se você me perguntar hoje se prefiro as crianças lendo livros a moda antiga ou os celulares que elas mexem hoje, eu com certeza diria para elas lerem os livros, agora se você me perguntar se quero ler um livro, a resposta é não com certeza. Ler livros é um gosto que deve ser implementado desde cedo, senão, após virar um adulto igual eu, fica mais complicado você querer começar a ler um livro. Pelo menos penso assim, para a criança em formação é mais fácil moldar as coisas, como, por exemplo, a arte de leitura.

Será que no futuro vou pegar algum livro físico e ler? Realmente não sei, pode ser que sim ou não, mas acho que na real é difícil, não sou acostumado com isso. Tento passar para os meus filhos para eles lerem, não somente livros, mas gibis, isso com certeza é bem mais divertido e legal do que um livro para eles. Claro que temos livros cheios de imagens e isso anima qualquer criança, mas, como disse nos parágrafos acima, o nosso amigo celular se tornou uma espécie de vilão na vida das crianças.

Ler é algo maravilhoso em nossas vidas. Apesar de não conhecer muitas pessoas que têm esse habito, lembro de ver uma ou duas pessoas postando no Instagram que gostam de livros. Agora imagine, ter 300, 500 ou sei lá milhares de pessoas e observar em seus Storys menos de 5 pessoas que dizem ler um livro. Isso chega a assustar, pois antes dos celulares, sabemos que os livros eram uma das principais formas de forçar a nossa imaginação e de ser uma válvula de escape da realidade, trabalho esse que agora migrou para celulares e computadores.

Por fim, os livros devem ser incentivados, sim, apesar da dificuldade disso, acredito que ler é uma das melhores coisas que podemos fazer, seja para se distrair ou aprender algo, sair da internet e do celular para somente estar ali naquele momento de leitura pode ser algo recompensador e que também nos ajude a descansar um pouco em relação às telas. No fundo, gostaria de ter um hábito maior de ler, com certeza isso refletiria até mesmo nas minhas publicações aqui na Hive, mas bem, não que eu vá tentar, mas nunca é tarde para começar uma nova rotina, não é mesmo?
