[EN/PT-BR] Education is for everyone!

Education in Brazil is something that has been promising in recent years, not that we have a first world education, teachers are still poorly paid, disrespected in the classroom, but need not generalize that this happens everywhere and cities through this country as large and amazing as Brazil. But if there is something that works, at least I realize it welcome, it is that children have a chance to study, regardless of how their family or their way of being, everyone around here has the right to study.
Well, families who have a better financial condition can pay for a better school, individuals and those who do not have so much purchasing power, there is always a city or state school, where they can get a place to study for free, gain uniform, school supplies, snack, everything, even my children study in public schools. My daughter in one of the city hall and my eldest son in a state. Here, things like gender, religion, origin of ethnicity, none of this influence if you want to put your child in a school, just find the one that fits the most.
So, at this point, schools are super accessible, of course inside each classroom, each classmate can have different opinions and ideas, can be understandable or unfortunately prejudiced, but the school itself will leave anyone who enrolls and gets the vacancy to enter. That way, things like getting the job because it's a boy or girl doesn't exist. You get a vacancy will only depend on requesting it as soon as possible and I believe luck as well because the demand is high.

Therefore, anyone can study, whether elementary, high school, college, there is always the option of being able to study in the public school system, of course there has to be an effort, a search, to be committed to wanting to enter, but as said, there is no discrimination because of what the student is or believes. At this point, the educational system is good, removing that it could be better, but in Brazil, as usual, corruption spoils a lot of good things, as happens in safety, health and finally in education as well. So if you need to study and your parents are responsible for running after it, you will probably get a place to study.
The only thing that can differentiate students may be the question of quotas. I personally do not agree with the quotas a lot, but part of the vacancies of a college or college, for example, is intended for those who fit X quotas. I don't like that because I think we can all conquer something in life, regardless of color or gender. I am a good advocate of meritocracy, although not blind obviously, I know that many people have no opportunities to study or the like, so quotas come to help these people.
Finally, what matters is to seek to educate our children, at home and at school, always seeking to put them in some schools to learn and thus develop, their critical sense, their vision of life and the world and to learn that depending on others is not always a good thing. I wish this to my children, I try to teach them as much as possible and I hope I am on the right track.

The actual academic system in LATAM need to be reworked... it's was hard for my generation to understand what mom said about studying oportunities...
now is harder to be a good student and see all the benefits..
I believe that it is always possible to improve, we need to think and update ourselves, of course it depends a lot on our rulers, which in Brazil is complicated... corruption is always rife here.
Same in Mexico :/ but there is more good people who cares about it!
This is what we pray for in Africa, a system of education that is inclusive and supportive for advancement and development.
When a nation controls the level of corruption and redirects funds towards research and education, it is better for the masses.
In recent years, latin America nations are taking the bull by the horn to ensure they have what could be referred to as a world class socio-exonomic system.
Exactly, corruption is what usually ends everything in a country. When a country manages to expel this from its political base, everything can happen and more towards good things. Here in Brazil it's complicated... corruption everywhere.
Thank you for sharing with us a reflection on the state of education in Brazil. The poor welfare of teachers is a topic that should be addressed by all countries with the way they sacrifice their lives to impact generations. Teachers should be treated better.
I strongly agree with you that education should be a universal right and it is good to know that public schools can be attended by all irrespective of your background, religion or gender.
Above all, you have reminded us how important it is to be involved in our children's education. I enjoyed reading your post. Thanks for sharing.
I'm very happy that you liked my post, it motivates me to write more. Yes, here children and teenagers have the chance to go to school, but the biggest problem is corruption and the suffering of the teachers who give their lives to teach their students. It could be much better, of course, but maybe one day Brazil will be free of these corrupt politicians and we'll improve our education.
I love this your systemic piece. Thanks for highlighting the roles of parents in education. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your comment, thank you very much for leaving your opinion and feelings! Cheers.
You're welcome sir

The truth is, corruption is doing a lot of harm in dimming the potential of education. Well, with what you've said, it's obvious Brazil's educational system isn't perfect as well, yet I want to say it is commendable, giving access to all.
Every child, regardless of background, gender, religion, race and all should be giving the opportunity to learn.
Thanks for sharing.
