RE: 🎬 Pain Hustlers (2023) A Story of Ambition, Morality, and a System Gone Wrong

Every time I see a pharmaceutical related movie, I am often left curious about fentanyl. I wonder, what makes that substance so powerful that once injected into drugs, it becomes addictive?
It's science I know, chemistry, I know but my curiosity still never leaves me. Fentanyl always makes it to a company who want their drugs to be addictive and profitable.
I saw pain hustlers and I wasn't disappointed too. It was worth the time and resources invested.

Thank you so much Sherah!
To be honest I did not know about this substance until I watched the film.
As I understand it is highly addictive because it is an opioid and also reacts with our pain sensors. The higher the dosage, the more addictive it becomes, but with serious side-effects.
I feel really sad for patients that have to endure significant pain, and I am sure that there should be drugs to make it easier for them, but not at the expense of their life quality (or to be used in other cases as we saw in the movie)
Again, thank you for your comment!

We are in the same shoes. Pain hustlers is also the film that introduced me to the substance.
I started being conscious of the word when it gets mentioned in other films.
You will see it mentioned a lot in films that drugs are being abused, a drug company is being targeted by the Feds, those who deal cocaines, etc.
I feel the same way too.
Thank you for thanking me. It was a good read.
