The art of self discovery
I did not know what I wanted to become while I was growing up. I had no passion for any profession, and just because people believed I was brilliant and should be in the science class, I joined science still not knowing what I wanted to become in the future. I just told myself to try whatever would work, not minding whether I loved it or not. Still in my SS 2 , I didn't know what my Passion was. During a discussion, some of my friends advised me to study medicine, and I felt it was a nice idea since I was a science student and I started wishing to study medicine with zero passion for the profession.
Unfortunately I didn't go for medicine. A family friend who was asked to get me a form in a nursing school bought a form of a course I've never heard of. I got the admission and studied a course I've never heard of, but in a school where I sat for the examination and passed. I never loved the course even till graduation and still don't. But then, along the line, I realized I started to develop a passion for computer science and programming. I didn't develop this passion early in life, not even in the course I studied, not early , just later on in life that I realized I love computers and anything that makes me think critically.
My self discovery came rather too late, a period I graduated from school. I had settled to work with the certificate I've obtained in a course I never developed interest in , then the passion came and it was an eye opener. I should have studied computer science or engineering, or any engineering courses that makes me think fast and apply practical knowledge. I remembered wanting to learn mechanics after my secondary school but my dad kicked against it, and since then, I became lost in what to do, only to discover later on that engineering was my passion.
Yay! 🤗

Well, seeing how you did go for what you wanted at the end is really nice. Life sometimes takes us on a journey before bringing us right on track.
Only if we knew our passion early, this would help us avoid the wasted years chasing air
Only if we did. But life is just that way
That's true
Thank God you discovered it later.
Yeah, glad I did
Takes a lot to discover one's self, but if we are able to put in the work we can get that.
Yeah, it often require hardwork
