Introduction

Last week, I shared my thoughts on the townhall on January 18th for the social media challenge. It was a bit late on my thoughts but this time my thoughts will be pretty fresh since the town hall for this week was only three days ago! I will be sharing my thoughts on the most recent town hall on Feb 1st 2024! I can't go through each part in depth so i will choose the parts that I find most interesting.

New Ruleset Maneuvers

Apparently, we have a new ruleset coming called maneuvers. All units will have reach in this ruleset. I think it's kind of obvious by the photo of the ruleset. Anyways this will definitely add some spice to the gameplay. There can be strong melee units placed in the second position so I'm already thinking of cards like Arkemis The Bear, Jared Scar, Grund, Mantaroth and so on. I'm always a fan of new rulesets and hopefully it gives us chance to have an edge over battle helpers/bot. I still believe there are people using battle helpers out there in modern and they know it as well but hard to say without any definite proof.

Soulkeep Titles

They are giving out a title and avatar for those that bought more than 500 soulkeep packs. I feel like this is just something to kind of slow the fire on this project. Things have not been good for soulkeep and it just seems like it's been left hanging. Honestly, I wasn't too much of a fan when the idea of soulkeep released and I didn't even purchase any soulkeep packs. I'm also glad I didn't because of how much money would've been lost since now buying from secondary would be 3x cheaper.

Brawl Rewards Adjusted

For this, they have removed the restrictions for tier 5 guilds and they also removed the top 3 bonus for top 3. Honestly, I'm not too big of a fan of this change. Mainly because these top 3 guilds usually did their best at filling out all slots so it seems like they are getting punished by the other guilds on the low end barely filling frays. I would've loved to see this change together with each fray counting as a battle. Then I would be ok with this change but as of now oh well this is quite a boo from me.

Reward Chest System

This was something that I found really interesting. Instead of getting chests from the store now. I heard from this townhall that we can save these points and spend it on a shop for rewards. Maybe we can buy an SPS chests or a card chests. Then people can kind of get what they want in a way.

We could also hear from the townhall that Matt was entertaining the idea of dusting soul bound cards to mint different ones so people could get the soulbound reward they were looking for.
