Introduction

About two weeks ago I had lunch with my boss to discuss about work. We decided to give The Birdland & Fat Cow a try. I liked the name of the restaurant and I was craving steak since I didn't have steak in a long time.

The Birdland & Fat Cow

The Birdland & Fat Cow is a steakhouse. Based on what I saw from the menu their main specialties are the steak, chicken and duck but they also offer other kinds of food as well. I will share the full menu at the end of this post. You can see the place has 4.2 stars on google reviews which is pretty decent. You may also notice the temporally closed and that is most likely due to Chinese New Year.

Ambience

I don't have a picture for the ambience this time. There was an open kitchen so that was nice. It was a bit shocking though because I saw an employee getting scolded by the boss / head chef. The place was well decorated and super clean. They had a nice wooden table and the overall atmosphere did give a Japanese vibe.

Food

I've shared the food photos below. The first photo is the appetizer which was shitake mushrooms. It was actually quite good and I'm someone that doesn't really like mushrooms. The second photo is the Australian Wagyu I ordered. It came with rice, salad, miso soup and egg. I enjoyed the whole set; it was super yummy. The last photo was the chicken thigh set which had teriyaki sauce if I'm not mistaken. My boss ordered that and he said it was good.

Concluding Thoughts

The damage came out to be RM145.20. I ended up paying for this one because it was like a late birthday treat from me for my boss since his birthday was not too long ago at the time we had this meal. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the place. I feel that the price was worth it for the quality of food we got. I would definitely come back if I ever came back near this area.
