Things have been slow in Splinterlands. I think everyone in the Splinterlands ecosystem has felt it. It honestly seems like the game is slowly dying and that's web3 gaming. It's so difficult to keep people because once things aren't profitable the players are gone. I used to be super bullish and happy to play the game but nowadays I suddenly feel like Holozor. Now I kind of understood how holozor felt when the land stuff got delayed because that's what he was looking forward to. He probably foresaw this happening and before I thought he was making a bad choice selling everything but it turned out to be a good move. For me though, I was looking forward to battles 2.0 and just more and more players to play against and to see a growing game but we are actually going the opposite way. Lowkey I've been contemplating on selling my assets since it seems dim but I'm holding on and even my mentor aruchard is holding on.

As mentioned in the previous townhall, the team will be focusing on the new player onboarding. This will be their main focus and I think this is the right play. I thought it was interesting that they were looking into taking off the spell book. People would be able to access most of the game without a spellbook and I think this is a great idea since it was a roadblock for people to try the game out. I think moving forward if this spellbook limitations get removed, the team should also look into getting social logins. I think that will help a lot and when the people are ready they can claim their master key and passwords for the wallet. I think the future of Splinterlands is riding on this and I hope the Splinterlands team is able to execute on it.
