Seeing Is Believing & Doing is Creating
Got new glasses today
I've mentioned in some posts in the past that I used to work at a business networking club. While I was working there, I attended every event that was hosted by the club. I'm someone that was not very social but I did in a way have to socialize a bit. I also saw firsthand how powerful social relationships were especially in B2B (Business to business). I saw businesses collaborating with each other. For example, there were two food companies that would do a marketing promotion to compliment their food products. Another way businesses were able to benefit from the social relationships were helping to introduce contacts that could help each other's business.
Where am I going with this. I feel the same thing can be applied to Hive. In a way, Hive is a business (even though for me it has become more of a passion/hobby to write). We write and comment and by doing so we can "earn" but there's more to it than that. Writing on Hive and commenting on Hive is something that involves other people whether they are on Hive or not. If we are writing, we need people to read and if we're commenting we need people to interact. That's where the social relationship is important as it's a vital part of being successful on Hive. Those that fail on Hive which I've seen many just come here to try to earn but they don't put the time to build social relationships and interact with others on the platform.
When I started out on Hive, I was doing everything wrong. I thought it was just easy money to write and I came in with the wrong mindset. It took a few months but I started to see the bigger picture. I interacted more with others and I saw my blog grow. I made it a habit to read and comment on at least three posts in the community I'm posting in. By doing this, I gained more followers and there was more interaction with my blogs since I also interacted with other blogs posted by other authors. I've been able to make friends on Hive and even get two of them to join my guild in Splinterlands. I was able to onboard people and get them to write on Hive as well.
Now, I have gone beyond that and started my own community called Eating Out. I actually started this a few months ago but I haven't activated it until this month. Recently, I started up a big contest and hope to continue doing it monthly. If you haven't seen it do check it out, I'm giving away 5k Ecency points and 25HBD for this month's challenge in the spirit of Christmas and the holidays! By starting this initiative, I've seen myself get noticed more. I got more follows and I also got a lot of comments on my contest post for those interested to participate or just there to support. I feel moving forward if I'm able to grow and stabilize this community I can move on to create more communities. I feel this is the way for me to gain and improve more solid relationships on Hive. In addition to that, I could also spend more time reading and commenting on others posts.
That's all from me. If I've missed anything, do let me know! Feel free to share your suggestions or thoughts on building solid relationships on Hive!

I read you and learn from your experiences, I am very young here at Hive, and although I went through a course to better understand how blockchain worked, I imagined it was going to be a piece of cake...how deluded...I had to rethink again to survive everything to understand that socializing is a priority.
And now reading you, I understand that I'm still a very small child crawling on the floor, but this is how I'm learning.....
Thanks for sharing how to work un Hive.
