Introduction

About four more days to the end of the season for Splinterlands and along with that the new Rebellion soulbound reward cards will be available! Today, I want to review the earth element cards for this set. I will share my thoughts on them and rate them out of 10 based on the current meta.

Halaran Huntress

Halaran is a beast 4 mana card! It's crazy that it's a common so it will be easily obtainable for everybody. It will be a solid choice for little league earthequake rulesets. Even if it's only earthquake ruleset, it will be a core card for sure since it can attack from any position. The snare will be there to counter and honestly the stats are insane for 4 mana. This card will probably be core in rise of the commons as well. I honestly think this card should be toned down to three damage! Not sure how I feel about how strong soulbound cards are compared to the cards that are purchased by buying packs.

This card is a 10/10! SUPER SOLID META card

Thunderhoof Nomad

Thunderhoof is another insane low mana card for earth. I like the reflection shield because earth didn't really have any good reflection shield. They would usually depend on neutrals like kinjo or runi. I can see this card being used in a blast ruleset or an odd only ruleset so it's bit niche. It can also be good in wands out and little league as well. Other than that, I don't think this card is too meta changing but it will have some niche cases where it will be good!

This card is a 7/10 for me!

Quilliun Legionary

Honestly, not too impressed with Quilluin. This card is kind of garbage in my opinion. It might have some use case for keep your distance and range only ruleset. I see it mostly as fodder to tank since it has good health and void. This card will be super niche and I don't think it will be too meta changing.

This card is a 5/10! It's a meh card but it will see some play.

Thanalorian Blade

Thanalordian is OP. I hope this card gets nerfed before it goes live. For 6 mana, it's a deeplurker on steroids with the execution which will help secure killing low health units. It even has trample so it can keep on attacking after killing. It has lookout as well so it can pair well with mycelic slipspawn to reduce damage. It's at a perfect 4 melee to avoid getting forcefield. This card is just too good in my opinion. I think they should remove the 1 armor from the card to at least give it some weakness.

This card is 11/10. It's not just meta but it's going to be OP if it stays as is. Hopefully, it won't end up needing power creep to counter it.

Warborn Chieftain

Warborn Chieftan is an interesting card. The first thing that I noticed is it has 5 abilities. It can counter magic with phase and it has shield for melee and range. It can even dispel which can come in handy against some martyr strategies. I feel it's going to be a possible alternative choice to Mycelic Infantry but I'm not sure how good this card will be since it has no armor.

I am giving this card an 8/10. I think there's a chance it could be strong but I'm not confident because it seems kind of low health and no armor.
