Playing Pickleball @Grand Rally Pickleball

Today, I joined a reclub session under the six.06 club. I've been joining sessions with this club for a while now because it's chill. I even went to eat with them after the session. For the food, I'll probably share in an eating-out post in the future. It was raining so I barely got there in time and didn't have a lot of time to take a lot of pictures. I just took some quick photos so sorry if the quality is poor. I'm going to just give a quick review of what I think of the place before I got to bed. I'm going to limit test myself tomorrow! I will be playing 9am-5pm and 8pm-10pm! Anyways without further ado, let's get this review done.

When it comes to the ambience, the place definitely gives off that grand vibe. The place looks very good appearance wise and it's clean along with better than the average toilet for a pickleball court venue. I don't have a picture of it but they do have a place to rent demo premium paddles for RM15/hour to test them out.

Here's there grand VIP court. It's super spacious and luxurious and even comes with a dedicated parking spot. I didn't see anybody playing here thought when I was there. To be fair though, it's kind of expensive coming out at RM110/hour for renting the court. Honestly, I think they should have just done a bunch of VIP courts instead. This will make more sense later after I share the VIP and lounge courts.

Here's a photo of the VIP courts. There's a lot of room on the sides so you can ATP as well as on the back so if someone hits a deep serve with topsin you can still stand back and hit it. I didn't play on this court so I can't really give a review but just from the colors I'm not too a big fan of the light green colored court since it kind of close to the color of the ball. This court can be rented at RM50/ hour non peak hour and RM80/hour during peak hours.

I played on the lounge courts today. One thing that was weird was there were two courts with this pink paint while the other courts had blue. The pink is a horrible color in my opinion and honestly I wasn't a fan of the colors overall. They tried to make the place really vibrant and photo worthy but as a player it's not that great. I'd rather the colors be more dark so the ball is easier to see since with bright colors along with the light kind of gives off that glaring feel. I also didn't like the sides of the court. If a person was to hit a shot at an angle, it would be hard to return because you're running into the blockers or the wall. Another bad thing about this court was that there was some bumps. There wasn't a lot but just a few so they probably didn't properly flatten out the surface. If the ball hits the bump it would bounce weird so I wasn't a fan of that either. This court goes for RM45 non peak hour and RM65 during peak hours.

Overall, the place is alright. If you want to go there to take photos, it's a good place to take photos. As for playing, personally, I didn't like the courts because of the bumps and the space for the lounge. I can't say anything about the vip and grand vip though because I didn't try it. I also heard that it gets pretty hot in the afternoon and even at evening so the best time to play is during the morning and night. The place is really far from my house so I wouldn't go back again. It was a nice place to come once just for the experience and to get to write this post about it! I hope you enjoyed my quick review of the place. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions!
