Over 16 Hours

Imagine being on an airplane for more than sixteen hours. Yes, that is the worst flight I've ever had. I can't recall exactly which flight since I've taken flights from San Francisco to Malaysia a few times. This was mainly because I visited Malaysia during my summer breaks when I was in middle school and high school. Then the last time was seven years ago when I came back to Malaysia to study. I don't think I ever had a direct flight though as usually my mom would buy a flight that layovers in Hong Kong or Taipei and if I'm not mistaken it's cheaper that way.

During one of these flights to Malaysia, there was one where I was just suffering. If I'm not mistaken, I think it was because I was sick or not feeling too well. To add more salt to the injury, I had that darn ringing in my ears which hurt and this is due to the change in air pressure since the airplane keeps ascending at a higher elevation. It was really bad for me and this is one of the reasons why I don't really like to travel long distances and that's including by car as well. I think my limit is probably 2-3 hours if not I feel a bit nauseous. With the combined discomfort from not feeling well and the pain in my ears, I had a hard time getting sleep. For a flight this long, it was necessary to get some sleep since the flights usually started at night. I'm guessing it was cheaper to start from San Francisco at night and arrive in Malaysia in the morning.
