Introduction

About 5 days ago, Splinterlands released the first set of rebellion cards to be leaked. I just want to cover these cards and share my thoughts and possible strategies with the cards.

Gobalano Soldier

Gobalano Soldier is a monster card for 3 mana. I feel like this could be the bane to Dr Blight abusers. Since this card can attack in the ambush round which is before cards can use abilities, this card should be able to attack during amush and on hit a Dr Bligtht with the Tarsa bonus attack if I'm not wrong. This card also strengthens the sneak lineup for fire element especially in the odds only ruleset with Uraeus and Tenyi Striker.

Infernal Firestorm

Infernal Firestorm is another insane card that will make interesting line ups with the new flank ability. There are certain cards that could appear in that second position that normally wouldn't be there. A melee card I'm thinking about his Arkemis the Bear. I'm also thinking if there was a fire and life dual element summoner that this card could be used to play with Jared Scar. I also think it has solid health and armor which seemed to be a problem for magic units for fire so this will be a great addition to the fire element team.

Chaos Animator

Chaos Animator doesn't seem to be like a strong card by itself but if you think about weapons training, this card could be super good. The future of weapons training will be insane since the attack won't be lost if the trainer dies in the future. It has potential to have 4 damage while also having some amazing stats along with being fairly tanky to magic units with the void. I'm thinking this card could pair well with a magic reflect unit like Djinn Muirat since it has the amplify to increase the damage reflected or even Cursed Windeku with the thorns.

Anasth Soothsayer

Honestly, my jaw dropped when I saw Anasth Soothsayer. I feel like this is one of the ultimate support cards in the game. It could end up super annoying in lineups where only the first position unit would get attacked. I think in Wild it would make the Kraken combo to be even more annoying. It also has lookout so this card I feel would be ideally placed in the second to last position so in most cases the 5th position provided it's a full team lineup. I still think this card is insane for having five abilities and 9 health for a rare unit. I can see that the damage is low but this card isn't meant to do damage but more for the support for the team.

Zeddica

Zeddica is the first dual element summoner introduced. I feel like this card would be the go to summoner in the ruleset with the silenced summoners in modern. This would be the same with whatever other dual element summoners are out there since it costs 3 mana with no abilities. I think being able to play both elements could have advantages in cases of silenced summoners but I don't see how it could beat the value of something like Kelya that gives a full team buff. It will be interesting to see lineups where the team will be stronger than a full team buff summoners for 1 more mana for the summoner.

Prophet Rosa

Prophet Rosa is the first summoner leaked to Splinterlands players that has two choices for it's team buff. As you can see, it can add +2 range to two units on the team or add shield on one unit on the team. This could very well change the meta since these choices can be chosen after seeing the opponent's team. I could see this being used in a range only ruleset or maybe even adding armor to Baakjira to make it even more annoying than before. I mean the possibilities are endless and it will be interesting to see how it finds a place in the meta. I'm sure people will find strategies to maximize the win rate with this summoner. It does feel fairly balanced since it does cost 5 mana and it doesn't give a full team buff. The only advantage is being able to be flexible after seeing the opponent's team.

Conclusion

The leaks are super exciting to see. The art honestly is amazing. I like how we can see a more full artwork of the card compared to previous set editions. I think it's also more clear on the level of the unit with the level bars. I can't wait to open my ten rebellion packs and hopefully I get some gold foil version of these units. I can't wait for Untamed to cycle out of modern and have some fun testing new possible linesup with rebellion.
