Lack of Interest Event Leaderboard
Introduction
It's been an awesome weekend. I have a four day weekend because Monday is a public holiday here in Malaysia! It's Malaysia day which is the day to honor the formation of the Malaysia Federation. Anyways today, I want to discuss my opinion on the Hall of Fame leaderboard.
Current State Of Leaderboard
I just took a look at the leaderboard today because I was trying to figure out what to write. I was aware that there was only spots for the top 250 purchases but what I didn't expect was the little sentiment. I know the sales aren't over yet but to be in the top 169-250, you only need about 10 dollars at the current state of the leaderboard. In fact, you only need a bit over 3k dec to get the title. That's not a lot of money. From what it seems, there's a lack of interest in the sales from the non-whale community. Most of the players that are contributing funds in the game are whales and that's not going to make the game sustainable. Even I don't plan on spending money on the promos of Hall of Fames. I'm waiting to see Splinterlands deliver their past promises.
The Promised NPE & Land
I don't think I'm the only one but things have bene quiet in Splinterlands and they've said land and NPE are the main focuses now if I'm not mistaken with NPE being higher up in priority. We really need the game to be free; we can't have summoner spellbooks anymore. It just doesn't work. We can replace that with battle passes and that would be even better because that's a monthly subscription if people are interested in that. I don't plan on spending too much in Splinterlands anymore until I see things delivered. We are overdue on these promises. I would like to see NPE by the end of this year and most or if possible all of land in 2025 by end of year. Can the Splniterlands team make this happen? They talked about being laser focused with the restructuring and firing of staff. Now's the time to execute or it'll be hard to compete with all the other web3 games that are coming.

Thank you for reading and supporting me. I don't plan on purchasing more assets in Splinterlands anymore until I see things delivered. What about you? I've heard some people want to sell and go into other games; I can't blame them. I still love the game and wish for the success of Splinterlands because it will also help give Hive more exposure as well! I think people have the money and just want to wait to see the promises delivered. Only time will tell.

I think you are right, the spell book needs to go now with the battle pass. The $500k from Hive has given the team runway along with money grabs from the Dao, let's see if the team can deliver.
you mean wild pass? I understand the battle pass needs to go but if they do that they need to get rid of bots. I think bots need to go and this is coming from a bot user xD.
DEFINITELY 500k runaway is no small change. i want to see things delivered now for real. it's time to step it up or really no more hope
No, I mean they dont need the spellbook with the Wild Pass. I think keep the Wild Pass. But they should get rid of bots 100%, it is killing the game.
I am not sure Splinterlands will survive beyond next year tbh!

Actually, it was under $400k as the Splinterlands proposal has been below the return proposal for a month and there is still a chance for it to get lower as the Splinterlands proposal was just 400k votes above the return.

I'm currently observing how the current hall of legends leaderboard plays out and if there is no movement within the top 150 before it's run ends, I might be able to acquire some of this promo cards and get some epic title in the process or else, buy just the bare minimum to have the rare title.
but the cards cycle out. youll only be getting the lsat 2 cards from the last cycle? unless they have all the cards available at the end to buy not sure.

We have at most 1 1/2 year before CL cycles out given that there are currently no plans to have a mini set for Rebellion then and maybe 2 - 3 years before Rebellion cycles out. Which means that we have at least 3 years to use the promo cards and recoup the cost of buying them and we can just sold it sometime during its cycle or if there was almost no demand, can still burn the card to get a portion of its cost. We might as well be able to get a portion of of the cost if we plan to sold the title. If you worry about blasphemy of ulul becoming useless once cl cycles out, they said that future sets will also have fiend card though they will have different mana cost. It might not be the smartest move but neither will hurt me financially.

I don't know. I enjoy the game and hope it does well but things haven't been looking good! It's time for them to show up before I spend more money that's for my case. I really should get you into other games then you can see why there's just starting to have a lot of better stuff out there outside of TCG genre. I still think splinterlands is the better TCG though compared to GU and parallel, cross the ages and others. I Can see TCG Working but it needs to be at the level of Magic the gathering. we aren't there yet. Honestly would love to see real life cards be linked to an NFT and that could go from there encourage people to make purchases for physical products and they also can mint the nft at the same time. i think that would be something interestking
CL has caused a lot of issues due volume it is printed and the only possible salvation for that is for land to have significant progress. Rebellion comes with a lower print rate and has better chance to hold its value once cl rotates.
Not telling you to go and spend money on anything and honestly, would prefer this promo to not break even with how much the dao paid for this cards so that they would lower the price next time. I myself would not be using any external funds and will only use what I earn from the game for my purchase.
hard to say. alpha and beta cards down bad and they already lower print than rebellion. it might be the future for rebellion cards x.x
hopefully not. they already getting 500k from hive funds so hopefully they can put that to use >.>. still makes me think how mods back then were getting paid like 1k a week lol or a month i forgot what
alpha an beta were just too overpriced before and that also goes for untamed which was originally sold for $2 per pack so its current drop in price is probably the market correcting itself. Does not mean it won't happen to rebellion.
They do not yet have the $500k from DHF as it was paid on an hourly basis on the duration of the proposal and SPL already lose more than a $100k of funds for the month that it was below the return proposal. Even at this point, there is a strong chance that SPL will get less as the SPL proposal was only 400k votes above the return proposal and 1 hive whale can vote to increase the threshold for the return.
I guess that's true too but it's gone down quite bad. it's supposed to be the OG of cards. we can look at other tcg games and see first edition first generation of cards are pretty rare ex charizard from the first set of pokemon or those magic the gathering first set. Doesn't feel that same way here
Honestly, wasn't a fan of them getting 500k haha. They should get it in stages after delivering then can continue getting more funds. It should be based on milestones in my opinion. A lot of money being lost in DHF
