Honeycomb BBQ

Introduction

It's been a while since I posted food. I went to Honeycomb BBQ with my boss about a week ago on January 2nd. I happened to be at IOI Puchong Mall to get a warranty on my laptop charging adapter since it wouldn't charge my laptop. My boss called me and said he wanted to have a meeting with me and we decided to eat at Honeycomb BBQ.

Honeycomb BBQ

Honeycomb BBQ focuses on a buffet style Korean BBQ. You literally get unlimited of everything except soft drinks like coke etc but there was unlimited water, orange juice, iced tea available.. They served only chicken and pork with a wide range of side dishes, sauces and ice cream.

Ambience

It was pretty nice and clean inside. They had energetic K-pop music to give that Korean vibes to the place. It wasn't a huge problem but I wished there was sofa on both sides; I felt that it was kind of weird with one side having a chair and the other side having the sofa.

Food

Below you can see all the food photos. There was an amazing range of food to choose from. They had vegetables and of course Kimchi. You can see that they were quite generous to have the meat self serve. Usually other buffets, you will have to order and someone will bring it to your table so I thought this was nice. I made an awesome sauce by mixing the mayo, chilli, pesto garlic and the ssamjang sauce and you can see the result in the last row second photo. They also had kimchi soup and seaweed soup. There was a place to cook Korean ramen. You can also see the wide variety of side dishes they had. In the last photos you can see some of the meat cooks, the sauce I made, the small hotpot they gave us and the ice cream. The soup from that hot pot was super delicious. Unfortunately since we came towards the end of the day, it seems the ice cream was a bit low on supply.

Concluding Thoughts

The bill came out at RM93 which is 20 USD. For a KBBQ this is slightly towards the expensive side but to compensate they gave a lot of extra stuff that other KBBQs wouldn't so I think it was fair. The food was great. The service was crazy amazing.

The amazing employee and my boss

One of the employees even made the Korean ramen for me and even cut the meat for me to cook which I don't think normal Korean buffet restaurants would do. This employee was so great that my boss gave him RM5 in tips and I gave RM2 in tips directly to him. The sad part about Malaysia is that waiters/waitresses don't get tips even though we get charged with "service tax". It's kind of sad.

Anyways I enjoyed the place and I'll definitely come back. I even left a review on google reviews which turned out to reach over 100 views because I got an email saying it helped people get the information they needed so I thought that was kind of cool.

Thank you for reading and the support. Please do share your eating out moments in the eating out community! Hoping to grow this community.

As far as we can see, it is a very good place with an exquisite gastronomy. Surely you have enjoyed a lot of that experience, or at least that is what I wish.

The sofa and chair thing also seemed strange to me. At the place I go to eat Pizza there is a sofa on both sides, although the bad thing is that they are a bit far from the table.

It was probably because at that time the nodes themselves were not available.

Now InLeo has evolved a lot and it is a good time to give it a second chance!
